5.0 out of 5 stars And you thought Microsoft didn't innovate....., April 3, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Microsoft IntelliMouse with IntelliEye (PS2/USB) (PC/Mac) (Personal Computers)
This is a great mouse, especially for the price. It is not only very accurate, but the movement of the cursor is very smooth (when the software is installed), like a mac. Then there is the advantage of not having to clean it or worry about a mousepad. It is great not to have to wiggle the mouse around to get the ball to move one more millimeter over. I know that Microsoft is frequently accused of being a monopolist and not innovative, but if any of their products are innovative, it is this one. I have heard of problems with the USB port so I would stick with the PS/2 (I also hear there is no loss in accuracy this way). Now if only they could make a cordless version, that would be the last mouse I would ever buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Smooth and fast, no gunk, a few quirks, November 23, 1999
This review is from: Microsoft IntelliMouse with IntelliEye (PS2/USB) (PC/Mac) (Personal Computers)
I have this connected to a ThinkPad 600E and overall I've had a great experience. It is smooth, fast, doesn't get gunked up and works on almost all surfaces. USB support isn't available on NT, but there is an adapter for a PS/2 port.

I've noticed that the mouse freezes from time to time and then gets going again. It could be an IRQ issue, but I never had that before...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, no more track balls, November 22, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Microsoft IntelliMouse with IntelliEye (PS2/USB) (PC/Mac) (Personal Computers)
This mouse is really great. You don't have to clean a track ball and no more problem with the track ball sticking. It is also a more accurate pointing device compared to the rolling track ball.
