Microsoft Office 2000 Professional [OLD VERSION]

The product was advertised as MS Office 2000 Professional (old edition). It failed to mention that it was OEM software which must remain with the PC it was purchased for. I am guessing they meant to put (OEM Version) on the description. I had every reason to expect I was buying a retail package. This software transaction was illegal.

I received this program quickly. It was in excellent condition and runs great on my Windows Vista computer.

I have used this product before so I purchased for myself. I still like this older version over the newer version. I wish MS would slow down when it comes to making a product "look" different and if changing an existing product, at least keep the same terminology in the menus and options. It is very disturbing when installing a new product and cannot find the options/functions you have used from the previous version.

Otherwise this product is very good to use.

I wish Amazon would require sellers to list as OEM version. Consumers should know ahead of time.

Good edition of office for anyone who needs a good office program but doesn't want or need to pay the price for the latest edition of the product. This will do the job with some bells and whistles but not all the flash.

Satisfied with the product, the condition of the product was as advertised, the price was right. and the delivery was excellent. What more can a person hope for?

Hello all who are wondering: Should I buy Microsoft Office 2000 in general?

The answer is YES. I actually have chosen something that is 11 years old to something that is new. My Netbook came with office 2010 and I was mostly confused on the functions and how to do things. Microsoft office 2000 is very simple and although it doesn't have the "sleek and shiny" design like The new offices does, it still serves its purpose.

Microsoft fails in understanding the true purpose of there PC's. Its not about looks, but functions. For example, you can make an apple pie(random example, I know) that looks DELICIOUS and shiny, but what about the main purpose of the apple pie? Does it TASTE like apple pie? No, it tastes like a muffin. So what it the point of making it look nice when it won't even resemble the taste of apple pie at all?

You see, all my life I was and am always fascinated by the old things. Something unique, something nobody has nowadays. I want to experience how kids would watch TV and how they would use their computers. I wanted to know how they worked windows 3.1 and how they would react to Windows 7 Ultimate.

But most people want the LATEST of everything. New macbook, new phone, new computer, new Tv, new OS, new EVERYTHING! Old is forgotten. People think old should be forgotten, but no it shouldn't. This office program is amazing, simple, and easy to use. Please purchase it!

The software works very well. I did not realize that "old" meant that it was a version for Windows 97. I am running xp pro and there were some issues with that, but I have resolved them and the solftware is running just fine.

This was a great buy and I don't regret it one bit...loving my software and putting it to good use.

Works as expected. This software is OEM and requires you to uninstall the previous version or same version as I was replacing due to having a copy not original copy. After installing I have noticed that it does take a lot longer to load up each program, but that could be my computer, not sure at this moment. If you are installing this because of the same situation I had don't worry about loosing any of your data when you uninstall the other/old version.
