i got this manual for school, but it would be an ideal self teaching book as well. it walks you through all the steps for just about every major aspect of access that a newbee needs(and some you don't).

lessons take less than 45 minutes for most.
some of the sql language is a little off, so i couldn't give 5 stars. if you are extremely new to this world, and are self teaching, you can use the "help" function of Access to learn the correct method of SQL entry for the few that are incorrect. (i think the wild card * is one of the errors)

This book is really good, It explain everything with details, it's format is very accurate.

This book gives easy to follow instructions that walk you through many of the aspects of Access that you might need to know. It provides lots of pictures to help you understand and makes learning simple. Each chapter gives step by step instructions about each task, and then after each chapter there are other projects that give less detailed instructions so that you can practice your newly learned skills if you want. I would definitely recommend this text to someone wanting to learn the basics of Access 2007.
