5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Training guide
My daughter used this book in her computer course. I thought it was one of the best at demostrating how to use the MS office product efficiently and in combining MS Office applications to produce the best results. I plan to buy it for a relatively new user in my office.

This may be a good book to use in the classroom but it was very frustrating to use for self-teaching. I checked this book out from the college library along with the CD for the sole purpose of learning Access. 5.0 out of 5 stars Superb For The Classroom, July 21, 2000
This review is from: Microsoft Office 2000 Introductory Course Tutorial [With *] (Tutorial Series) (Paperback)
I use this volume as the main textbook in my basic computer applications class. Both the students and I love it! Each lesson has overviews, review questions and projects. The book is both visual, giving step by step helpful hints as well being resourceful and informative. It is more organized than most text based Office books and more informative than the visual based books I have used.

I highly recommend this book as a textbook for beginners!

The CD was "read-only" and did not allow me to make the changes that the book directed me to perform. In other instances, steps were left out. After working through the first 2 units of the 6-unit Section for Access, I gave up. I have successfully used SAMS Teach Yourself for Windows and I think I will try SAMS for Access.
