Everything including the download went smoothly and the key worked flawlessly. The price is fair for what is expected of a Microsoft product.

I prefer older versions of Office for the interface, but Office 2010 does what it's supposed to. Some of the functions are a little hard to find.

2.0 out of 5 stars A totally FUBAR install process January 19, 2013

This review is for Microsoft Office Professional 2010 Product Key Card - 1PC/1User...
With the continuing improvements to Open Office, this outrageously overpriced suite from Microsoft is rapidly becoming obsolete. However, it has so many users that one stil needs to be able to open a ".doc" or ".docx" file. and MS Access is still the best small-business database out there.
I chose this downloadable version in order to save a BUNCH of money and I needed it NOW.
Seems quite convenient. But the download is not trivial. Don't start it in the early evening when everyone and their dog is surfing the net.
After the download come the installation process, which can be a harrowing experience.
I got the "error 2203" thing which puts up a screen with some info on where to go for help . But said info can't be copied and pasted so its essentially useless.
The solution is to ignore the advice in the message, Google "MS OFFICE ERROR 2203" or whatever error you are getting. You will be instructed to change a bunch of internal system settings that normal people should not EVER be messing with.
The big mystery here is why Microsoft is incapable of creating an error-free installation that will work on their own operating system. Once you have done all that stuff, you are ready to try the installation again. But WHERE idid AMAZON put the installation file? Not where they say it is. It's in a folder on your desktop.
BIG annoyance here, that I don't get to pick where Amazon will put the file.
The first time I re-tried it, I got "an error has occurred". No error number, no hints, no nothing. A re-boot solved that one.
It DID, finally, achieve a clean installation. But I was holding my breath the whole time, expecting another error.
Long story short, If you don't need Access, or Publisher, you can probably find everything that you need in (FREE) Open Office , avoid a huge expense and a lot of hassle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Microsoft Office Pro 2010 Product Key Card November 20, 2012
Verified Purchase
As with other Microsoft products, it is necessary to keep the key cards. The best is being to download the product from the web site, and the key can always be retrieved from there if needed.

I know it probably bothers lots of people, but Microsoft Office is still THE software that's probably most used in businesses across America and the world. If you're not familiar with this software in at least the basics then you're behind the curve as a business professional. I think the vast majority of users probably only take advantage of maybe 30% of the features of this product and the associated applications. You'll do yourself a favor if you learn as much as you can about this software. You'll not only become more valuable as a resource to your employer and your business, but also to yourself.

Office 2010 continues to improve on what was started decades ago. Of course there are still plenty of areas for improvement, so I'm looking forward to the next release as well. For now, I'll keep digging into this and learning more and more everyday.
