"Presentation View" is worth the full price,

If you use PowerPoint for public/professional speaking, seminars, etc., then the "Presentation View" feature of MS PowerPoint 2007 (and, of course, also in 2010) is worth whatever price you paid. I don't know about you, but the first time I used PowerPoint to prepare a presentation, I was shocked to find out that the "Notes" section could not be viewed by the presenter during the presentation -- whose idea was that? Yes, you could print the notes and the slide on paper, but then you had to turn the (paper) page in addition to moving to the next slide in the presentation. Well no more. Presentation View now lets you see a different view of your presentation than the audience. The audience sees just the slide; the presenter can see the Notes section (the window for Notes can be resized and the font size of the Notes increased), along with thumbnails of upcoming slides (some resizing of the thumbnails is possible), it tells you the slide number of the current slide and the total number of slides, and even shows how much time has elapsed since the presentation began. For me, being able to have ALL my notes visible was nothing short of spectacular. I could include citations to reference material relevent to that slide, reminders about information that had to be covered on that slide, and anything else I wanted. To the audience, it appeared as though I didn't have any notes. The price for the stand alone MS PowerPoint program is about $100. The price for MS Office Suites varies from $200 to $500. For this one feature, I would have gladly paid $500. Once you use Presentation View one time, you will never go back.

Great features!,

Unlike the previous reviewer, I own PowerPoint 2007 and have been using it for a couple of years. The new interface is frustrating and a learning curve, but the features are fantastic. You can create diagrams that look like a professional designer created them in Photoshop. You can create better looking charts, too. The new shadow features give you great-looking soft shadows and many more options. You can create custom layouts finally. Definitely worthwhile if you want to create more professional looking slides.

I was at the office talking to a co-worker about microsoft's recent 2nd attempt to release a smart phone. I commented that microsoft just should stick to what it does best. Leaving my co-worker puzzled he said, "and what would that be?" Good point my friend. It's certainly not software.

Power Point 2007 is a nice product. There are so many changes to the program from the 2003 that it is confusing to find all the commands that were easier to find on the earlier version. Same confusion as I am experiencing with Word 2007. Does great things after you figure out what all the commands are!

I had a 2003 version of Power Point. Unfortunately I was beginning to get a number of power point presentations from others that I could not see because of the age of my program. Most importantly, my business was attempting to put togehter a pp presentation that could be used by the board members and me. The work had been done by one of our overseas workers but it was impossible to pull it down and to 'run' it on my laptop. Now, with 07 I have the original, have been able to edit it for my specific situation/use, and have been able to show it to people when meeting with them. This has been a boon to being able to accomplish our goals.

Easy to install and works as expected at a decent cost. A good option to upgrade Office Small Business.

Microsoft(Bill Gates) made it! I bet I got the right choice! I was concerned I couldn't buy this upgrade version of Power Point 2007 at first because I had never installed Power Point 2007. However, I was so relieved I could install this with no problem at all; that is, this installation proved to be successful as long as I installed Microsoft Office Personal 2007 like the computer shop staff said. Without Microsoft Office Personal 2007 I would have had to pay about $180-, which is definitely ridiculous! In fact, I used to deal with both Power Point Viewer and Open Office before getting this upgrade version of Power Point 2007. The trouble was that I wasn't able to see my files on Power Point Viewer unless I made presentation files on Open Office. In other words, I had to forward the files to Power Point Viewer after completing the files on Open Office. That was also a waste of time and energy. At last I deleted both Power Point Viewer and Open Office!I suppose some people may complain their computers don't include Power Point 2007, which they may find inconvenient. But don't worry; this is highly recommended for them. Don't miss it!
