I have been reviewing all the MS Office Quick Source Guides, and they are exactly what I wanted after buying the books to the software suite. They are too cumbersome to drag to a job if you need to reference something, so the guides are perfect to look up steps you can't remember after not having used the software to the point of total memorization.

This review is from: Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 Quick Source Guide (Pamphlet)
If you are an occassional user of Powerpoint like me and don't want to shell out $50 for a big, fat book, this may be just what you are looking for. It describes in breif the various function of Powerpoint in plain language in such a manner that a reasonably experienced MS Windows software user can quickly pick it up.
The Six page outline is organized into the main sections: Getting Started, Views, Slides, Text, Text Formatting,Graphics, Charts & Tables, Multimedia, Slide Shows, Research, Reviewing and Output. This product provides just enough to get you started and, to be honest, just enough information to make you dangerous. If you do a lot of Powerpoint, it might be worth it to bite the bullet and buy a more extensive reference book. |
