Based on the authors' real-world experience, this book provides great insight and step-by-step guidance on Microsoft's private cloud design and existing solutions.

The authors explain the reasoning behind Microsoft's strategy, making this book a great read for anybody interested in understanding the current and future business opportunities.

For me, their work was a mind opener as they carefully assembled all the pieces of the puzzle, including monitoring and orchestration, into a coherent and pragmatic approach.

First time learning about cloud computing and this book really helped me understand what cloud computing is. You hear from many IT prof and executives the word cloud computing but no one actually understand what is cloud computing and what is involved in cloud computing. The content is easy to understand and I think its very systematic from the intro about cloud computing to more detailed aspects of this technology. Weather you are a beginner or advanced in this technology this book will not disappoint you.

This book is written by four of the best industry experts on Private Cloud based on Microsoft technologies. They share their real life experiences and insights on Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V, SCVMM and App Controller. Any one involved in these technologies should buy and read this book since it brings you up to steam in no time. Since the book is written in a open manner you can pick the chapters which are most relevant to your job, skills and knowledge. No need to read this book from chapter 1 till the end when you already familiar with some or more chapters.

Even though this book is written by very experienced subject matter experts, this book is easy to read. Step by step they take you further and further in all these technologies without loosing you. And none the less, the book takes a real deep dive into the world of Private Clouds.

I enjoyed this book hugely and taught me many new things which I will use on a daily basis. All I can say is that I hope for a second edition, based on Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V and System Center 2012 SP1.
