Good Product, but You May Want to Wait for 2005, October 15, 2004
This review is from: Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 Professional Special Edition Upgrade [Old Version] (CD-ROM)
Microsoft has released another version of its penultimate Integrated Development Environment. Forgive me if I am not as excited as I was for 2002. I love Visual Studio and I love .NET, but there just isn't enough "new" in 2003 to warrant spending money on a new Visual Studio.
With VS 2005 coming out next year, if you are already using VS 2002, just wait for 2005. If you're still in the pre-.NET days (e.g. VS 6), spend the time better training and preparing yourself for the upgrade.

This will soon be an old version, July 19, 2005
This review is from: Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 Professional Special Edition Upgrade [Old Version] (CD-ROM)
Right after I ordered this product, I learned that Microsoft will soon release a major upgrade for it. I called Microsoft and they were not able to tell me that I will receive this update when it comes out. It appears that after spending almost $500 for this version, I would have to spend an additional $500 to receive the next upgrade. I returned the product and decided to wait for the Visual Studio 2005 upgrade.
