This review is from: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition, 5 Client (DVD-ROM)

Product title from Microsoft is very misleading and many versions of SQL Server 2008 exist, each with different operating system (OS) requirements. OS requirements were checked before purchase but the differences in the product names i.e., SQL Server 2008 Std Ed, 2008 Std Ed for Small Business, 2008 Std Ed R2, and 2008 Std Ed with SP2 were not realized until after installation was attempted. Before buying, be very sure of the version you are purchasing as many write-ups for the product simply refer to "SQL Server 2008" without version specifics. Aside from being useless on my computer's OS, the product did ship in a timely manner and all documentation was included.
