This is an excellent training kit. It is not only simple to follow, but it covers all the basics that a Network Administrator needs to know in the field of Windows NT Technical Support. I recommend this book for all beginners who want to develop their carrier in the field of Network Administration and Support, but definitely purchase the book "Windows NT Network Administration" before you purchase it. I really appreciate both these books and CDs.

This book is excellent preparation for the 70-067 and 70-073 exam if used in addition to the NT Admin training kit. It comes with eval software for NT Server and Workstation as well as training videos, practice exam, simulation, documentation, and lab files. Highly recommended!

It covers 95% of the material needed, I bought the core set, read both Net Admin and Tech Support books once, did some of the exercises them combined with the MCSE Readiness Review Work Station took the test and scored 933, then two weeks later bought the MSCE Readiness Review Server got a 966 on the test, I have to say what made it possible was the MCSE Readiness Review Books.

Needless to say my employer is pushing me to get my MCSE in a record amount of time, so I ordered this book and it arrived 5 days before I was scheduled to take the exam. So I spent the Fri-Sun of Thanksgiving studying, walked into the test center on Monday and passed the exam. Granted I didn't pass it by much, but a pass is a pass to MS. And I'm not an NT guru either. I've only been using server for just over 2 weeks. I'm not telling you all to follow my example, I just want to point out that this book can and will prepare you for the Server 4.0 exam.

While reading the other reviews I have noticed someone saying this book does not cover the basics. He must not be talking about the same book. This book has it all. If you add the nt in the enterprise admin kit, you have everything you need to pass all cores except net essentials. I passed all on the first try.

This book doesn't even hit all the basics. The most noticable shortfall is a total lack of printer coverage, which is hit hard on the workstation exam.

Yes, this is the ultimate study material for the NT Server 4.0 exam. Yes, it's very complete. But there is so much non-essential material in it, it may overwhelm some readers who just want to pass the test. It is fantastic for reference. One more thing - the book assumes that you are working at an NT server desktop while reading. You may find all of the step-by-step exercises frustrating if you're reading in the barc-o-lounger. To pass the exam, other books will do the trick for less money.

Bit expensive book but gives you a overview for both the MCP Workstation 4.0 and Server 4.0 exams. Has great practice involved with book. Would recommend it as a 2nd book for those leaning to certification or just to learn NT.

This training guide offers thorough coverage of both NT40 Workstation and Server. The book is well organized and offers numerous excercises and questions to reinforce your understanding of the material. I easily passed both exams using this guide and its companion "Windows NT Network Administration". The set comes with trial versions of NT Workstation and Server to build a practice network. Although this book is a bit more expensive than others, you will not be dissapointed with it.

Great book for preparartion for WinNT Server and Workstation exams. Explains all the themes present in the exams, altough a little bit expensive in the end it justifies the price.
