I have hated, I mean HATED every keyboard at whatever price I ever paid until now. I have never like any keyboard dedicated to a single platform much less ALL platforms. My Old Samsung Cell is a smart phone but one of the older dumber "smart" phones in it's first generation. But it paired to this as quick as I turned on Bluetooth. The most surprising of all for me is on my iPad 4. I love the on screen keyboard SO much I always thought you had to be crazy to ever even want an external keyboard. Well 30 seconds into life with THIS keyboard on my iPad and I was sold. I hated the keyboard from Microsoft that I bought with my Surface tablet that I actually returned both the tablet and optional keyboard.

I ordered this as a novelty, I think more to prove myself right and reassure myself that this was another dumb and unnecessary gimmick. I was as wrong as a man can possibly be. This is maybe most impressive in the absolute stealth of its this profile. It's like the worlds thinnest wallet that can turn your phone or ANY OS tablet into an actually relaxing & enjoyable experience when you use it to communicate using keystrokes instead of your voice on a call. I honestly LOVE this. Probably the biggest surprise in the last couple years and from such a simple item. Getting 5 stars out of me isn't all that easy. Wife says I'm gettin old & grumpy. Well, for the last time, this is a WONDERFUL and stealthy keyboard that types beautifully and stows in the smallest spaces imaginable.

A footnote I would like to add is the way I use this. I am recovering very slowly for 4 major surgeries in just the past 5 months. As a result I have been flat in bed for a large part of this time and just now allowed to even get up and sit in a special built recliner.

Very beautiful keyboard. it feels solid to type on and very compact and perfect for travel. you can switch seamlessly between platforms, I am actually typing this review with it on my iphone5 :). I also used it with a Nexus7, very convienient on the road and in the future with any device. Microsoft did a good job with this keyboard. the only thing is that your fingers might feel a little crunched becuase there is not a whole lot of space but you can separate it so that there is a distance between the keyboard and your screen.

After watching product video, it is actually a very smart idea for this keyboard design. With this sleek and compact keyboard, and great convenience features, are allowing user to quickly switch between window, android, or iPhone / ipad devices any time and any where. It also escalates mobile experience to the next level for fast and smooth typing experience. With the keyboard cover, so you don't have to worry about the dust getting in the keyboard. !

This miniature Bluetooth keyboard can work with Windows, Android, and Apple phones and keyboards. Its compact(9.5x4.3x0.5 inches), lightweight(13 ounces), and can hold tablets or phones up to about 10 inches wide and 3/8inches thick.

The keyboard is a bit expensive, but I can recommend it for those needing a compact Bluetooth keyboard for tablets or phones.

Compatibility
I used the keyboard with the following:

Samsung Galaxy S3 phone
Microsoft Surface RT tablet
Amazon Fire HD 8.9 tablet(HINT: had to push the power button on the side of the keyboard for 3 seconds to get connection to work.)
Acer W500 hybrid tablet running Windows 8(operation erratic)

I could not get it to work with the Sony tablet S(original Sony tablet, running Android 4.0)

Setup was straight forward, when it worked.
Microsoft says you can use the keyboard with up to three devices: its not crystal clear if they mean three operating systems or literally three devices. The Bluetooth of the devices should be 4.0 with the HID profile.

Usability:
This is a compact keyboard, and I have fairly large hands, but I was able to type with little problem. The key feel was very good. The keys are designed to accommodate the three operating systems that can be used. There are media keys(volume, etc.) on the top row.

Visibility was fine: the slot holding your device has two shelves so its designed to give you two choices for the angle of the device. The slot is open ended, so large tablets might be able to hang over the edges of the keyboard. Additionally, you can detach the keyboard’s cover(its attached by magnets) and move it away if that gives you better sight lines.

The device is easy to use.

The keyboard is ideal for those of us who have different gadgets working with different operating systems (i.e., Windows-based, IPhone/Ipad, Android) since you can switch between the three different systems. Up to three devices can be linked via Bluetooth with this handy keyboard.

The detachable cover also serves as a stand for your device. However, if your device, such as an IPhone, is in a thicker protective case, it may not fit comfortably in the stand which is what I experienced when I placed my IPhone in the stand.

Some may find the keyboard do be a bit cramped to type for very long periods of time but I suspect that this keyboard is intended to be used for shorter typing sessions. The keyboard once linked with you device is quite responsive. The only difficulty I had was when using the keyboard with a Windows-based PC. For some reason, pressing the keyboard’s shift keys did not result in any shift on the PC. Sort of odd for a Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard not functioning fully on a Windows PC. I’ll have to look into that further.
