The Last x64 XP,

This review is from: Microsoft Windows XP Pro x64 Edition SP2C for System Builders - 1 pack [Old Version] (CD-ROM)
This is the last release of x64 XP from Microsoft, you'll only get updates, but no SP3 update. It runs at least 4x the speed of an optimized Vista system. I personally use it on my dual core system, and couldn't imagine using Vista.

very good performance, i had Vista 64bit and i coudlnt reach the same performance, the only thing is it needs few tweaking to get the best look of it such as themes and getting a way to install DX10 in WinXP, great for games no problems so far with :
---Applications--- 3D Studio Max 2009 Adobe products Visual Studio 2008 Microsoft Office 2007 ---Games--- World of Warcraft FEAR2 CRYSIS Call of Duty 4 Call of Duty 5 Red Alert 3 Prince of Persia 8 Burnout Paradise Fallout 3 Dawn of War 2

Built a computer with the 64-bit version of XP, other than the fact that it requires 64-bit software, it can full use of more than 4 Mb. of RAM. In my opinion, this makes Microsoft's best OS and made it better. Granted it took too many updates and patches to make it so. I would highly recommend this over Vista Ultimate or any other 64-bit OS. It does take some tweaking, but its well worth it.

I bought this CD to install with VMWare Fusion on my iMac. It installed with ease and I was using Windows on my Mac within just a few minutes. I was glad too, that it didn't have any of that 'junk' software that one usually ends up deleting anyway. The only bummer I've run into was that I was rather attached to Windows Live Mail, which - come to find out after the fact - is NOT 64 bit compatible. I ended up liking Mail anyway, but am unable to import my mail from Live Mail at present. You might want to look into that before you upgrade to 64 bit.

I installed it as a virtual machine using VMWare Fusion on my Mac running OS X 10.5. Seems stable for Windows so far it hasn't crashed :) !!!
