5.0 out of 5 stars Wireless Mouse
This mouse is just great. Fits your hand very well and is really much nicer than I thought it would be.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not for "middle mouse click" users
I purchased two of these, and they perform well except for one quirk. The click wheel in the middle is stiff and unresponsive. If you rely on using the middle mouse button to select items on a webpage, avoid this model. I often have to click several times to get it to work; in the process, the wheel moves and I am no longer on the area I am trying to select. I will be...

4.0 out of 5 stars Great wireless mouse at a steal of a price, August 26, 2008

As a person who spends 90% of the day in front of a computer screen, I need a mouse that is comfortable and durable. I bought this at a special price (14.99 each), and I have found it to be a great tool. This mouse fits comfortably in your hand (unlike the smaller standard mouse that comes with most computers- including iMac). I bought one for home and one for work. The only complaint I have is when at work, I often get a low signal message (because I am a bit to far away from the access point). The connection/signal never fails, but the message is annoying. I have dropped it several times, and it has not failed. I have had the same batteries in it since I purchased it- approximately 4 months ago. I would urge any and all to give this one a try (even at regular price) if they do not like their current mouse.

Additional information as of 1/26/2010: I continue to be impressed with this mouse. It uses ridiculously low amounts of energy, thus saving the number of batteries you go through. I use rechargeable batteries, and honestly, I go about 4-5 months before needing to recharge. Both mice that I purchased (work and home) are still working perfectly. Again, I highly recommend this mouse!

1.0 out of 5 stars Product review, March 4, 2011

This product is a waste of time and money. The mouse is very bulky and heavy, and does not move smoothly and evenly. The wheel in the center is shift and does not move easily, with an awkward side to side function. Also the included drivers and software are not compatible with Vista. Overall this product isn't worth wasting time with.

5.0 out of 5 stars So good I bought it twice., January 16, 2011

Bought one of these years ago, worked great till I spilt Pepsi all over it...not the first time either. Dropped it countless times and keeps on ticking. Sturdy build for sure. Scoured webpage after webpage looking for the exact model, finally found it here.

It's really a five button mouse, if you include the middle wheel left and right scroll clicks. It comes packaged with Intellipoint drivers, which are old, simple to update online though. Find it on the microsoft website and you can customize every button as you wish, programmable per application as well.

Battery life is terrific, I use Duracells (5-8 hours of use a day) and it lasts months. Range is so/so, bout 15 feet with direct line of sight. I find it easy to use on just about any surface, I use a black mousepad, and even a leather couch cushion when I'm lazy.

Not sure why it's listed as 4.0, as it's labeled 2.0 under the mouse.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good performance, but some OS issues, July 7, 2008
This review is from: Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 4.0 Mass (Personal Computers)
I really like this mouse design. Its symmetry makes it appropriate for both right- and left-hand mousers (I'm ambi-moustrous) and it has smooth, quiet controls.

Unfortunately, one of the "special functions" available with the programmable tilt wheel is to show larger views of the running applications (screenshots of each running ap, instead of the icons you see when you do an Alt-Tab). To accomplish this, it actually has to take mini "Print-Screen" pictures digitally whenever your applications show a display, and this causes a rippling or repaint effect in some applications. At least in may versions of Windows XP this is the case.

Even if you don't USE that function of the tilt-wheel, the software still takes the screen shots. So the only way to eliminate the rippling screen problem is to uninstall the software that came with the mouse and install an earlier version of the mouse software - which does not have the tilt-wheel (scroll side-to-side) functionality.

Nevertheless, it's a smooth operating mouse, attractive, and seems to have a reasonable battery life.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nice mouse, horrid wireless, April 3, 2008

Mouse has a nice feel but is not consistently smooth in operation. Missed button clicks, sluggish mouse movement, and other wireless oddities ruined the experience for me. I returned for a full refund.

This is a great mouse (although a tad big for a woman's hand), but worth the price to get away that pesky cord.
Be aware, though, that when you share an office with someone that also uses a Microsoft Cordless Mouse - you can get interference with each other when you are using them at the same time.

2.0 out of 5 stars Felt like a left-handed mouse, March 27, 2008

This review is from: Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 4.0 Mass (Personal Computers)
I'm a right-handed person, but somehow the fit was not very comfortable in my right hand, even though it is a large mouse, and i am comfortable using a variety of mice. Moreover I was looking for something without the extra receiver it comes with. went with a bluetooth mouse, since my laptop is bluetooth enabled. I'm happy ever since.
