What a dissappointment! There isn't one central page to tell you what else you need to actually USE this book. The CD only covers the basics. The authors spend alot of time telling you how good their book is, and the help you need isn't there. And what's the story re: the web site? I'm looking for additional material, and the publisher is trying to sell more merchandise. These MOUS books are NOT like Exam Cram's MCSE series.I feel like a MOUS in a maze trying to get thru this book. You must be Extremely patient to get what you need.

The book is well written, with no glaring errors. It's got great information that is displayed well and it's easy to follow. It does not have information on Advanced topics, but it's good for the proficient exam. The CD has a lot on it, but not a lot about Word, and the example exam is not done well.

This book was incredibly helpful to me when I needed to learn Word 97 very quickly and thoroughly. It walks you through exercises, step by step, using files on the CD that comes with it. The book starts out teaching you how to open a file (as basic as you can get), but works up to more advanced features like styles and forms and templates. It leaves nothing out in between (you'll know every keyboard short cut). I worked through the entire book in about 8 hours and have been working in Word problem-free ever since. If you are a beginner, I highly recommend this book.
