This is an adapter cable to enable the Xbox to connect to TVs without any RCA plugs whatsoever. I initially laughed at the idea before remembering that my girlfriend has an old dust-collecting TV in her bedroom which does not feature a single RCA plug anywhere (I actually had to get hold of an old VCR and hook it up to this stupid TV in order to play my old PS One on it when she wanted to watch something ghastly on the big TV) so this adapter does have a purpose if you're wanting to play on a slightly ancient/low end/cheap TV. I give it four stars because I think it's great of Microsoft to be thinking about folks who might be forced to use old TVs (kids being made to stay at Grandma's house, people who do a lot of travelling and stay in hotels, etc) and providing a means for these people to plug the Xbox into basically ANY television, even if it's a horrible old black and white unit. Eewww...

If you have a TV featuring RCA inputs there is absolutely no benefit to be gained from buying this unit.

A lot of hotels may have video inputs and outputs in the back of their televisions. However, since they don't want you sticking a camcorder back there and recording a movie that hasn't been released on video yet, they usually take the video card out. The RF Adapter, therefore, is pretty much the only way you can connect your XBox to a hotel television. I plugged it in and it worked like a charm. Since hotels are known for having nothing to do, this is a good investment for the traveling gamer.

Belive it or not, but this product improved the quality to my television. I was on the verge of buying a new one, when I order this RF Adaptor. Before, the color of my screen was really bright. So when I played Halo, when I got health, it blinded the entire screen. But since I hooked this baby up, there has been TREMENDOUS improvement in color, sound, and picture. It's almost like using the regular audio video 'hookups'.

The main use i found for this adapter is it allows you to play your xbox in the back seat of a car that serves well for road trips (lots of room) with a small tv while someone else drives.

I think this product is a good selection because is more easy to play with the X-BOX if you don't have a video TV in your house. I have one X-BOX in my house and I have one of those,they are really cool!!!!That's why I give 5 stars to this product.

Had an old XBOX game and wanted to hook it to my old TV in the bedroom but did not have the accessory to help. Looked on Amazon found the product I needed, ordered, and in a few short days it arrived. Fast shipping, great product, and exactly what I needed.

This thing works! The cord has enough length that I can use it in any entertainment center. What else can you say about it? It works so I give it five out of five.

I didn't think you could review a RF adapter but I was wrong!

It's a wonderful addition to your XBox collection and will almost increase the enjoyment of all the games you play! (As in you'll be able to play them on your old TV's.)

In the age of HDTVs and progessive scan DVD players, I definately would NOT recommend this product to be the ideal type of hook-up for your XBOX.

All of the people in here who are telling you that they're getting a GOOD picture quality from this product are just fooling you left and right... Don't be stupid.
Anybody who knows ANYTHING at all about basic electronics at all can tell you that an RF signal causes radio frequency interference; which means these HUGE red and blue diagonal bars that constantly run all over your screen.
Also, because of the fact that you'll be recieving both video and audio signals through the same channel, you'll be getting lots of noise interference (snow) as well.
If you don't get what I mean, then just have someone run the radio, blowdryer, or vacuum cleaner in the house while you're playing your XBOX with these.
And you can just FORGET about Dolby Digital or DTS; for this device not only degrades your picture quality but it also takes away stereo/surround sound and gives you MONO instead, which of course would sound TERRIBLE for XBOX games.

Is THAT really what you want?
