5.0 out of 5 stars Still working great., April 21, 2009

Had it five months. Works great. My sons and husband use this product almost daily. Okay it is daily. I have passed the denial stage.

5.0 out of 5 stars Flawless, March 23, 2007
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Based on the old, excellently performing Xbox S-controller with added bumpers in place of black/white buttons. Thankfully they dumped the large "Duke" controller altogether. This controller can turn on/off the 360 remotely, act as a remote, works on a PC, connects to a headset, etc... It rumbles -- the $600 PS3 doesn't. It connects FLAWLESSLY. Never fails to connect and the connection never drops, ever, even though it's wireless. Battery life is extremely LONG - you'll be able to use the thing forever without recharging. Attachements exist for charge & play, Accessories for quick charge. Options for regular or rechargable batteries.

Having an excellently designed controller is key.

Removing the white/black buttons, so your right hand can rest in a position with your left hand -- both wrapping around the "stalks" of the controller, was a good decision in my opinion. It might take some people some time to get used to the bumpers. They are placed in a location where you might have previously rested your right and left index fingers when not pulling the trigger.

3rd party wireless controllers for the original xbox SUCKED! The connection dropped, they would malfunction, or else worked okay but were not rechargable (Logitech). Everything about this 360 controller is right!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Concept, November 13, 2006
When it comes to something like home video game systems, this product is really great. The wireless controller is a definite 100 percent improvement on esp. early gaming consoles allowing for funner, easier and more futuristic game play. The future is already here, and this wireless controller should make the cord ones obsolete in every way.

Price was so reasonable that we bought just for a back up. Good thing we did, it came in to great use shortly after it arrived!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ergonomic and sturdy!, August 25, 2011

I work with computers. This means that my wrist are under strain all day long. And, I like to relax playing video games with buddies. Guess what? More strain. This controller is VERY well designed, here' s why:

DESIGN/FUNCTION
Let's talk about how well this is designed. Compared to the playstation controllers, and especially the Wii, I really believe that Xbox have come close to ergonomic perfection! I remember playing tekken or something on the PS2 back in the day, and giving myself instant carpal tunnel from mashing buttons. I can play with this thing for hours, and my eyes will give out before my wrists/fingers will! The buttons are all in the right places, and it is SO easy to switch from toggles to the d-pad to the letters! I can't believe that Microsoft has incorporated 19 buttons so flawlessly!

BUILD/QUALITY
These things are built like a tank. I drop them on my hardwood floors all the time, never a scratch on them. Even when I think that THIS time my luck has run out, I pick it up and there are no chips, no rattles on the inside - nothing. The plastic is not cheap, the buttons have lasted years without sticking, and the electronics work wonderfully.

WHY 5 STARS?
- Cheaply priced (+)
- Excellently made (+)
- Ergonomics are very well designed. Little to no hand strain (++)

OVERALL
Overall? EXCELLENT. Don't get an off-brand one, you WILL be disappointed. I have gone that route with other xbox accessories and been fine, but don't risk it with the controller. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Our purchase of the Xbox 360 wireless controller, March 21, 2011

Talk about fun & a lot less bickering in our household. Having 2 controllers now instead of only one is absolutely the best thing we could have done. So glad we purchased it and really like how simple it is to use! To sum it up with one word, 'awesome'!

The only part about this controller that I don't like is the fact that it does not come with a charger. The batteries that I bought last a good amount of time and I don't have a short cord limiting my "skills".

4.0 out of 5 stars it works?, January 12, 2010

Well, I got the controller, it works. I move the joystick and hit the buttons and things happen. Unlike my last controller they ONLY happen when I hit buttons or move the joystick. Five stars would only apply if this made me better at video games. Sadly, I am as mediocre as ever.

These controllers are great. Why buy new when you can buy used or refurbished? I would suggest buying the xbox rechargeable battery kit, or buying your own rechargeable batteries. Other than batteries everything is great.
