This review is from: Microsuede Feather King Comforter Set, Camel (Kitchen)
I have had this set for about 2 months now. It looks great, and for the price I am thrilled with it. Some things to think about: I bought the king size set for my queen size bed. I am glad I did. The King size drapes just enough over the sides to give adeqate coverage for my thick mattress and most of the box spring, so that only the nice wooden bedrail shows. The King set comes with standard size shams. This was not a problem for me, but should be noted. The down fill tends to gather towards the center of our spread between my husband and myself(it's not sewn in to squares, but rather the stitching is crosses that would form squares if they connected, so the fill can move around. This is easy to "fix" by swiftly running your hand firmly in the diretion you want to 'push' the fill. It evens out in three or four swishes when making the bed. We have the set in Camel... and it matches quite nicely though not exactly with the Pinzon Flannel sheets in Camel also available from Amazon. If I see this at the 35 price again, I will surely purchase another one for backup... at that price I don't expect it to last forever-- but I can afford to change more often!
***UPDATE... the cat got sick on this and so it needed to be washed quickly- and I did so in the washing machine and dried it in the drier. I'm not sure if it happened during the wash or the dry cycle, but I ended up with a substantial amount of feathers poking out. It was enough so that I purchased similar product on Amazon with a poly stuffing rather than the down. I still have this for backup, but the feathers were bugging me.

I bought this as part of Amazon's deal of the day program so I really wasn't in the market for one. It is a great color and of great finish. However it is full of static. I decieded to wash it and get rid of that static but beware. When it hits the dryer the worst smell I ever smelled came out of the dryer. I actually thought my sewer pipes were clogged, awful, awful smell. I will still use the quilt but never wash it in my machine again.

I was hesitant to buy these at first when I saw it in the gold box. But then I said why the heck not. My hesitation was due to the fact that I had way too many comforters. However, these were the first that I ever bought for myself. The other ones were given to me as gifts. This comforter is extremely warm and yet light at the same time. I still need an extra blanket as usual since I can get very cold but it's a lot better than my old comforter. Like some other reviews said, the pillow shams are pretty small but it's fine for smaller pillows.
A word of advice: most likely, your comforter will arrive extremely.. and I mean EXTREMELY staticy most likely due to the lack of moisture in the box. The solution I have found is to sprinkle some water on the comforter or to spray some febreze on it. Not only would it help to make it smell better but also gets rid of a bit of static electricity. So be careful when taking the comforter out and enjoy!

looks and feels good but to thin,
This review is from: Microsuede Feather King Comforter Set, Olive (Kitchen)
This is a nice looking comforter, however, it lacks in the filling. The comforter is thin in most areas so it is not as warm as it could have been.To bad they skimped on the filling.

Feather Poke Nightmare,
By MalaYQue! "Mala" (California, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Microsuede Feather King Comforter Set, Camel (Kitchen)
What a bad product! Is this stuffed with chicken feathers? This is DEFINITELY only a comforter to put on an unused bed in your guest room. After a very short amount of time feathers began to poke out everywhere and it took on a crunchy feel due to the feather spines inside. I am very disappointed with this set because it's really pretty. In case you're wondering if careless laundering led to the problem, the answer is no, since I quit using it even before it needed to be cleaned for the first time. Don't buy this comforter set.

Losing feathers,
By Super Mom "kh" (San Jose, CA) - See all my reviews

I purchased this set for my teenage son. He specifically wanted a black comforter set which hard to find in department stores. I came across this one and decided to give it a try. The price was really great, and this comforter set looked really high quality. However, within one month, my son was complaining about all of the pokey feathers. The feathers are coming out all over his comforter and he is no longer happy with it. I guess the price was too good to be true!

Not soft or comfortable,

This review is from: Microsuede Feather King Comforter Set, Camel (Kitchen)
I bought this because it was cheap, and boy is it cheap. It's thin as paper, and I think it has paper inside it by the feel of it. I'm tempted to slash it open to see what's inside because I certainly can't use this as a blanket.
The material inside is actually crinkly and noisy, which is not a benefit when you're trying to sleep. The blanket is thin, uncomfortable, noisy, not particularly warm, and I highly recommend that you avoid it.

at least one duck is still alive inside and trying to go out,
This review is from: Microsuede Feather King Comforter Set, Camel (Kitchen)
It's soft, warm and all you can say, but I have feathers all over my room... the cover is not strong enough to keep them inside... it's a shame because the price is good and the microsuede is soft...

Great looks and fabric but the feathers poke through...,

These really look great but the problem we have with both (we have the red and camel ones) is that the down filling pokes through after a while, making them less valuable to us. They are great to leave on the bed to make a room attractive, just don't sit on or lie in as that will cause the down to come out. They should have sealed and compartmentalized the down filling.
