Microsuede King 3-piece Duvet Set, Black

This duvet set is pretty nice. The microsuede is soft and feels great. The product description doesn't mention that the microsuede only covers half of the duvet and the shams. The back of each is just a straight polyester fabric. Not a big deal, I just didn't know that going in. I haven't washed it yet, so I'll have to see how that goes.

This duvet set is great! It is so comfortable and has stood up to my kids (2 and 10 months)jumping and crawling all over it! The color is a rich chocolate color, a little darker than the picture. Just make sure on the first wash to wash it alone or else it will bleed brown onto other items in the wash, even in cold water.

this set is nice, if your not too particular about colors. I bought 2 in camel, just got them today, and they are not camel as shown in the listing. they are brown. brown, brown, brownest of brown. thought they may have mistankenly sent me the chocolate color, but even the package states color as camel. however unlike the camel color shown in the listing a very light, cream shade, what i received is nowhere near that color. so beware, color examples of the microsuede duvet set offered by blue ridge home fashions are not necessarily what your going to receive.

My down comforter is an oversized full/queen and measures 98x90. This duvet is 86 x 86 so I was afraid that my comforter would be too big for the duvet and wouldnt fit. However,I took a chance because of the price and was happy to see that it fit absolutely great. Also, I ordered the chocolate and the color is what I expected. The fabric is soft and is not heavy at all. Thus it drapes nicely. It does say that dry cleaning is recommended, but it also gives directions on how to machine wash and dry on the gentle cycle in cold water. I plan on washing it so hopefully it will hold up.

OK ... I fretted way too long over this purchase (watching the price go up and down and up and down ...). Bought King in Chocolate. LOVE IT!

FIRST - THANK YOU FOR THE REVIEWER WHO SAID TO WASH FIRST BECAUSE IT BLEED A LOT. THE BIGGEST UNDERSTATEMENT EVER. I DID WASH IT AND rinse it 3-5 times just to get the dark chocolate color to stop POURING off in what appeared never-ending.

WASH/RINSE THOROUGHLY UNTIL THE WATER COMES CLEAN.

SECOND - I WAS SURPRISED BY THE RATHER SMALL PACKAGE THAT CONTAINED THE DUVET AND 2 SHAMS. I WAS EXPECTING A MUCH DIFFERENT THICK SUEDE LIKE PRODUCT.

ACTUALLY - THE FAUX SUEDE AS DESCRIBED SOUNDED TOO THICK AND STIFF FOR A DUVET COVER AND WHY I FRETTED FOR SO LONG.

IT IS A VERY VERY THIN DUVET COVER WITH THE 'SUEDE SIDE' BEING JUST A SOFT FABRIC THAT IF PUSHED FOR A DESCRIPTION, HAS A 'SUEDE LIKE SOFTNESS AS YOU RUN YOUR HAND ACROSS' BUT IS OTHERWISE NOTHING LIKE SUEDE.

IT WAS A VERY UNEXPECTED AND ENJOYABLE FABRIC.

SOFT 'SUEDE LIKE' TOP, COMFORTABLE COTTON BOTTOM.

REALLY LOOKS 'GREAT'! ... NOT CHEAP ... BUT NOT ANYTHING CLOSE TO A HIGH PRICE DESIGNER LOOKING PRODUCT. (DEFINITELY NOT WORTH FULL RETAIL, BUT AROUND $35 FOR A KING SIZE ... IT IS ABSOLUTELY WORTH THAT PRICE (not a bargain at that price, just worth exactly that amount)

small note: I like the open end for inserting the comforter into the Duvet has an opening almost the full with of the cover. I have had other Duvet's that has from 1/2 or maybe less and it was much more difficult putting in and taking out the comforter for washing (king size) Standard button closure which is fine, barely noticeable and fine construction.

If you are on the fence with this one (as I was) DEFINITELY AT LEAST GIVE IT A TRY ... KNOWING YOU CAN DO THE EASY FREE RETURN IF UNHAPPY.

I read through most of the reviews on Amazon before purchasing this duvet. Keeping in mind that I didn't even know what a duvet was before the "female touch" enlightened me, I was pleasantly surprised with the look and feel. I ordered the camel color, and unlike others who received chocolate, I got the color I ordered. However, the duvet feels incredibly thin, making me think I should have paid $20 instead of $30 for it. But for $30 and free shipping, I have no complaints...except for the fact that my comforter keeps shifting to one side and ends up having none on the other. Maybe I'm missing something here, but it's frustrating to end up cold in the middle of the night because my side of the duvet doesn't have any comforter in it.

I was not expecting to get a duver cover that would turn out so nice-looking! Part of me was worried it was going to look cheap, being that it WAS very inexpensive. I was also worried when I learned that the opposite side was not microsuede, but polyester. However, upon opening the package, I discovered that the underside of the duvet is not cheap, scratchy material, but very soft and comfortable! I bought this for my boyfriend, in need of a nice cover, but not something too girly. This was perfect! Much better than the duvet we previously bought from a large expensive retailer (which by the way ripped). Great buy!

I wasn't expecting much, but was actually impressed. Extremely soft, fits well, and the chocolate is a nice rich brown color!

I'll be honest. I made a mistake in ordering this. I thought I was ordering a comforter. Oops! Anyway, now that I have this three piece set, I'm enjoying it very much.

Since it is August, I haven't put my old comforter into the microsuede cover yet. But it currently is a great cover for the bed in general, and I even used it as a blanket on its own.

Overall I'm happy with this surprise purchase.

I ordered three of these for my family and we ALL love them. They ARE machine wash safe as my tag says "machine wash cold gentle cycle, tumble dry low". My daughter did wash hers and it held up just fine. I definitely recommend these especially for the price.
