Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Product is exactly as pictured, came bubble-wrapped but no instructions, packaging, or software (as expected). Product works fine with Windows XP after downloading middleware from AF Portal. I also had to update the Windows drivers from MS (XP prompted me automatically), which I think updated the firmware on the reader also (not sure). This only took a total of about 10 minutes. For Mac users, after updating on XP side, product worked fine on my MacBook with no software added of any kind (although I used the instruction from Army's AKOnline to put the CAC certificates in the Keychain properly. They have a very nice guide if you search their site).

Works as advertised,

This card reader works just fine on DoD websites after installing the required ActivClient software and making your certificates available to Windows (right click on cert in ActivClient, select "make available"). The whole installation process took less than five minutes and was very easy. Recommended for anybody trying to access CAC enabled websites from home.
