got mine a couple days ago, hooked it all up quick, pretty much ready to go out the box, looks great and runs quietly. Also one of the first things i did on it was install the new star wars game. only took about an hour and a half to download the game, took like 4-5 on my old one. the game runs perfect on highest settings, real smooth game play and no problems with the computer overheating at all. awesome computer

This Microtel Gaming computer surpassed all of my expectations. I had been looking at various gaming computers for months before finding this. I had found many computer with equivalent specs but all of them were over $1,000. I was surprised at the specs, 12 GB of ddr3 RAM, a 1 GB graphics card with Directx11, and a massive 1 TB HDD. My first thought was that it was "too good to be true" but after buying this i have changed my mind. I'm able to shadowbox 2 World of Warcraft screens at max graphics and 16X anti aliasing. I can also play Dragon age II and Left4Dead (1 and 2) on max graphics settings. After I overclocked the graphics card, i was able to run Skyrim on max graphics (with the HD texture pack, the "Vibrant ENB, and about 40 other graphical mods) averaging about 35-40 FPS.
But enough about the graphics. the 12 GB of RAM allows me to have Camtasia studio, a ventrillo server, and a WoW server run at the same time and use about 20% of my RAM and 16% of the Quad-Core Processor.
The only flaw that I've found is that the graphics card seems to get hot quickly (especially after overclocking), however this can be fixed by turning up the fan speed in the NVIDA Control Panel.
This is a great PC at a great price.

EDIT: I've been able to get too overclocking the CPU and GPU, I'm now running my CPU at 4.8 Ghz with the stock cooling, If you try to overclock it to 4.9 Ghz it will probably crash. Both the CPU and the graphics card are easy and safe to overclock without having to touch the voltages if you don't want to. Both the graphics card and the CPU come with software pre-installed on the computer for easy overclocking, just watch out when using these programs as i believe they may void the warranty.

Runs fast, WAS and still is a decent price for the quality of computer its is. The last review said that some parts were loose which was most likely a shipping problem(also mine did look like the image). An amazing, solid computer can't beat! I found that the 12 gigs of RAM is good if you run alot of programs but the 8 gig Microtel computer is better for people who don't really want to spend that extra 20 or 30 dollars. Other than that it can run games perfectly averaging about 60 FPS for my most demanding games. It does come with game performance programs ex. gamebooster 3.1. Also come with AMD overdrive and Fusion, I haven't had the chance to test them out yet, but you won't have any problems with the processor or the videocard(I don't reccomend using the max clock settings as 3.4 GHz is high enough to run pretty anything when it comes to games). If your looking for a solid computer with a good processor, videocard, and RAM, this or the Microtel AMTI9025 is what your looking for(depending if your real picky with money).

My computer arrived on time and there was no visible damage. Video card and ram chips were not loose. However I did have to call their technical support department regarding a memory dump error. Andrew at tech support is a gem, working with me for two hours to troubleshoot problems and resolved all issues he could. My computer came with a bad ram chip. Called them again to ask for a replacement. Replacement did not come after a week. Carol who I have spoken to before did not give me the tracking number and said well, it's in San Jose. Carol needs to be reminded pretty often. She "forgot" to have technical support call me back. She lost all my order information. She does not always answer the phone during normal business hours. The computer would be perfect if I could get the ram chip I paid for. Just be prepared for many, many phone calls to this company and double check that everything is in working order.

I've had this computer for over a year now and it works like a charm! If there was a 4.5 star rating I would have voted it that, because there were only a few minor things wrong. The keyboard and mouse are pretty crappy but I was expecting that and go new ones straight away. Also the CPU fan started getting REALLY REALLY loud after a few months (It really sounded like there was a plane in my room) so I got a new one and It was very easy to install. But other than that this is a very solid computer I run games very well as well as some photo and video editing software that runs like a charm. Its pretty much as fast as the day I got it just make sure you clean it up and don't download a lot of stupid programs. For someone that wants a great deal on a computer this is the way to go. I spent months looking at different options: Dell, HP, building my own; but Microtel definitely had the best deal I couldn't have built my own for cheaper!

I've ordered this after an old gaming laptop (my kid's) simply died one day and we needed a replacement ASAP. Kid has been happy as a clam ever since - he's the one who, given the limited budget, opted for a PC rather than a more elegant but less powerful laptop that a similar amount of money would have bought. He's rating it as 'a nine' on a 1 to 10 scale and it's a 9 because 'nothing deserves a 10' in his view. And this is why:

* Performance for the price - I seriously doubt you can get anything faster for the money we paid. The 4-core AMD Phenom II plus 12GB or RAM plus a not too shabby Nvidia 550 GTX for graphics make this handle everything with ease and grace. My kid is currently playing Diablo 3 at max res and max frame rate with a bunch of other things such as Skype running at the same time and everything is as responsive as when playing Solitaire. I have little doubt that you can buy faster computers if you paid more but I also have little doubt that this box can handle anything 'gaming' in existence today and probably anything likely to emerge in the next couple of years.

* Features - I already mentioned the CPU, 12 GB of RAM which is more than what you normally get installed and graphics but add to that: built-in Wi-Fi (most off the shelf gaming computers in this price range don't have one), USB 3.0 ports, 1 TB or disk space. Oh, I almost forgot, the graphics card supports HDMI output (nice) besides VGA and DVI.

* Windows 7 - it screams on this box. Everything loads quickly and in the 2 weeks we've been using Microtel's machine... no crashes. I'm impressed.

* No crapware/bloatware. Unlike most off-the-shelf laptops/PCs, this one came with near-zero useless 'free trial' antivirus, money management and whatever stuff preloaded.
