Excellent software, does a perfect job,
By Bobbity (US of A) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Microvision SureThing CD Labeler Deluxe 4.3 (CD-ROM)
I've tried a few different CD label software apps, and various types of paper. SureThing gave me the best experience, though I must say that when using other papers such as CD Stomper Pro and Neato, it never seems to line up perfectly. But if you buy the SureThing brand CD labels, everything lines up perfectly, no issues.Part of marketing myself relies on a creating a professional looking CD to hand out to potential clients, and this never fails me.. I wouldn't settle for anything less. I highly recommend it!

beware Canon users,
By
This review is from: Microvision SureThing CD Labeler Deluxe 4.3 (CD-ROM)
I used to love this program but not anymore. I was advised by Surething to purchase the upgrade from version 3 to 4 and this would enable me to use it with a Canon i865 printer for direct CD printing. When I took the plunge I ended up having to download an update from special programmer who had done some sort of template. The template does not work very well and you still have to set it up to a degree. For some reason Surething wont support Canon printers. They have lots of template's for Epsons but no Canons. This of course is only a problem if you want to print direct to CD so if your printing onto paper labels there is no problem doing it that way.

A Great Graphics Labeler For Many Needs,
By
This review is from: Microvision SureThing CD Labeler Deluxe 4.3 (CD-ROM)
At the time this review was written, a product description was not provided above. If this is still the case I would suggest you go to the Version 4.0 of this product listed on Amazon. You will also find customer reviews, lacking here at this time. The latest Version of this Product, is Version 4.3. Maybe the number was rounded. Some items included with this package worth noting are: Label applicators for 5 ¼ Discs for both full and standard hub labels. In terms of ease of use for centering or placing the label correctly I would give Sure Things product a better rating than the Stomper or Fellows applicator I have used. It also comes with an applicator not listed on the box for something I am not familiar with. In addition samples of the label stocks for the CD/DVD needs you might have are also provided. This might suggest they are more interested in selling labels than software. After using and seeing the output this software provides with the ease of use you might see why. If you are looking for a product providing intuitive menus leading to great graphics and labeling, this is one from my limited experience I would highly recommend.

Never have to use a Sharpie again!,
This review is from: Microvision SureThing CD Labeler Deluxe 4.3 (CD-ROM)
I'd never used CD disc labels before and now wonder why I waited so long. I'd thought about getting the latest LiteScribe technology but this works just fine! I'd read that the software was difficult to use, but found there was nothing difficult about it. What a difference it makes having a label for all the CD's I produce, no matter the content - no more Sharpie scribbled discs. It was especially nice using a photo from a recent trip as the background for the label we used on our Photoshop slide show. The SureThing labels are great as well and very easy to order online. 'Truly couldn't be happier and I'm not easily pleased.

Good software, does the job. Not enough Lightscribe features,
By Roger J. Buffington (Huntington Beach, CA United States) - See all my reviews (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (VINE VOICE) (REAL NAME)

I bought this software specifically because it supports Lightscribe labelling of disks. Lightscribe is the Hewlett-Packard process of allowing the DVD/CD writer to burn labels directly onto the disk with a laser. Once you have used Lightscribe, there is no going back to the hassle of paper labels.Installation. The software installed fine. Unfortunately, when first installed, mine did not support Lightscribe. A quick, albeit somewhat confusing, trip to the company's website corrected this. Several downloads were required for the software to work with Lightscribe. This is inexcusable, as the packaging and help files that shipped with the disk state that the software does support Lightscribe. So why the downloads? Labels. The software has a disappointingly few backgrounds and designs for Lightscribe. But they suffice for my modest needs. The software works as advertised after correction via updated downloads. And it works better than anything else I have tried. Recommended.

Surething Labeler V4.3 fails to live up to the hype,
By
This review is from: Microvision SureThing CD Labeler Deluxe 4.3 (CD-ROM)
As a novice I found this software difficult to use, probably because the manual is badly written and fails to explain how you use the tools available to create designs. It may be this is a sophisticated and complex program, but I have spent hours struggling to create the most basic of designs for Jewel Case inserts and CD labels. Perhaps all CD labelling software by its very nature is complex and requires hours of research before it can be used: I don't know. Perhaps I'm a very stupid person and this is the best CD labelling software on the planet. But after 3 weeks of research I am still unable to complete one jewel case design. If you are a novice my advice is make sure there is not an easier program available. My other gripes include:1) Surething cannot export playlists from Musicmatch Jukebox 10, contrary to the misleading advertisments which say it can; 2) Technical support, although responding quickly, are unable to answer some basic questions. For example, how does one create a design on the BACK of the front jewel case panel? A simple enough question covering a basic aspect of design. I can only assume those at technical support have never used the software. I'm unable to continue with my designs and am stuck. 3) Only one place in England apparantly sells it, (The thompson Partnership), but they have none in stock.

Sure Thing CD Labeler Deluxe,
By
This review is from: Microvision SureThing CD Labeler Deluxe 4.3 (CD-ROM)
The CD Labeler does a very nice job importing playlists with a nice selection of different labels. It is a fairly easy program to learn, and the more you use it the more you learn about it.

I was disappointed in the number and value of the LightScribe backgrounds offered by this program.
