4.0 out of 5 stars Midas Man, Live at Carnegie Hall, July 20, 2011

This review is from: Midas Man (Audio CD)
I've wanted the recording of Midas Man for a long time, and a few other songs on this cd, because I used to hear it on KSHE-95, St. Louis' Progressive (formerly) rock station. It covers a lot of Renaissance's different periods, and I for the most part like all of it. I will say that the playback on some of it sounds kind of tinny, but I guess live recordings back in the 70's left a lot to be desired. It doesn't sound too bad on my home system, but on my MP3, you can tell it's not as good as everything else, sound-wise. But for a wide assortment of their music, I'm really happy to just have all these songs to listen to. I waited a long time to own Midas Man, and I'm happy to have it. Very English, very progressive for it's day, and a good deal for all the music that's on the two discs.

I'm glad I got around to buying this CD. The band has a lot of talent and did their own thing.
