5.0 out of 5 stars It does say U4
I merely wish to point out that the title does say 'U4', and that if you know anything about the 'Middle English Dictionary' you would understand that it is only one of about 150 fascicules. Still useful if you happen to have lost one (which I have).

2.0 out of 5 stars Must have more complete info before ordering...
While this may be a very thorough source for the words it covers, it should be noted in the basic information that this is ONLY 128 pages of a 15,000 page work. The description above is very misleading.

This volume is only a handful of the roughly 15000 pages in the complete Middle English Dictionary (MED). The title indicates that this is the second section of the complete W words list in the MED. Very authoritative.

5.0 out of 5 stars Masterpiece of achievement, February 16, 2009
This review is from: Middle English Dictionary (Volume T.5) (Paperback)
Clearly many of the other reviewers are not medieval scholars or they would have realized that Middle English, much like Present Day English, had a large vocabulary that is difficult to contain in a short volume. Furthermore, this invaluable research tool contains literary references, variations, etc. Amateurs beware! Anyway, the MED is one of the most important items in medieval scholarship, but yes...it is comprised of numerous volumes. You can always use the online version if you don't want to buy it.
