Robbie (Minnesnowta) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Middle Finger U (Audio CD)
I waited for this album to drop for over a year and a half. He switched labels, and it took forever to drop. I used to be just hyper about it coming out, but now that it finally arives, I have almost lost all interest in him. I used to consider him one of my top 10 rappers of all time, because his flow on cuts such as "Face Off" off of Jay-Z's Vol.1, "Reservoir Dogs" off of Jay-Z's Vol.2 and also "Reverse" off of Puffy's Forever album. Some of the stuff he said was just the funniest ever. It made me laugh.

But this album is another story, although everyone should go out and buy themselves a copy to judge this for themselves, because I am truly dissapointed because this was not worth the 1 and a half year wait. Some of the good points on this records would be "Middle Finger U" which shows Sauce at top form. Speedy tracks are when he does his best, and there aren't many of those on this album. "For My Hustlaz" which is the first single is pretty tight too. Other good tracks are "Face Off 2000" w/Jay-Z, "Do You See" w/Puff Daddy, "Pregame" w/Jay-Z, "Section 53,Row 78" w/Maverick, "What's My Name" & "What We Do" w/Memphis Bleek. Overall it may even be a pretty good album. He has a pretty unique flow, which includes him bragging alot.Go out and buy it for yourself, but don't be surprised if you are dissapointed!

2.0 out of 5 stars 2.5 Stars. Lukewarm. Hit-and-Miss album of 2000., January 20, 2003

Sauce Money has established himself as one of the most gifted and talented writers in hip-hop history. He has also established Middle Finger U, as being one of the most enigmatic releases in hip-hop history. The best way to describe the album on an overall level, would be a total hit-and-miss. You have a hot beat here, a flaming flow there, and an incredible rhyme two tracks down. This album has the potential to grow on you, but only if your open minded.
