I waited for this album to drop for over a year and a half. He switched labels, and it took forever to drop. I used to be just hyper about it coming out, but now that it finally arives, I have almost lost all interest in him. I used to consider him one of my top 10 rappers of all time, because his flow on cuts such as "Face Off" off of Jay-Z's Vol.1, "Reservoir Dogs" off of Jay-Z's Vol.2 and also "Reverse" off of Puffy's Forever album. Some of the stuff he said was just the funniest ever. It made me laugh. But this album is another story, although everyone should go out and buy themselves a copy to judge this for themselves, because I am truly dissapointed because this was not worth the 1 and a half year wait. Some of the good points on this records would be "Middle Finger U" which shows Sauce at top form. Speedy tracks are when he does his best, and there aren't many of those on this album. "For My Hustlaz" which is the first single is pretty tight too. Other good tracks are "Face Off 2000" w/Jay-Z, "Do You See" w/Puff Daddy, "Pregame" w/Jay-Z, "Section 53,Row 78" w/Maverick, "What's My Name" & "What We Do" w/Memphis Bleek. Overall it may even be a pretty good album. He has a pretty unique flow, which includes him bragging alot.Go out and buy it for yourself, but don't be surprised if you are dissapointed!

Sauce Money has established himself as one of the most gifted and talented writers in hip-hop history. He has also established Middle Finger U, as being one of the most enigmatic releases in hip-hop history. The best way to describe the album on an overall level, would be a total hit-and-miss. You have a hot beat here, a flaming flow there, and an incredible rhyme two tracks down. This album has the potential to grow on you, but only if your open minded.

This review is more like 3.5 stars. Sauce Money is a 1 hit wonder. He will never make another album again. I hate it, but its true. Sauce Money really doesnt offer a new style or anything original, but this fool can spit. He can rhyme. Talented emcee with garbage production and garbage guest artist. Jay Z and Puff are on here. What more can you say. I like this album though. Its funny because coming from my knowledge of hip-hop it seems as if I would just simply label this trash. When I first heard it I did. But this album grows on you. Decent subject matter, better than most BS floating around this hip-hop world. I would describe Sauce Money as being a emcee that had great potential but you will never hear him on a record again.

I thought this would be a pretty good cd but I guess everyone is a thug and gun holder in this hiphop stuff these days. I liked the cut with Premier and the rest are alright. He does say some stupid stuff and some the beats are kind of next generation type but with a played out mentality. All in all buy it used!

Saucepect Money,

Anybody that is familiar with Sauce Money knows that he was under Hova's wing and was supposed to be the next big thing. The only obstacles that stopped that was bad promotion and this album. Is this album bad? Not bad per se but it is a questionable. The production is suspect and sometimes the Sauce Money sounds uninspired here too. Dont get me wrong. If he came out with better production and at a time when skills counted he would be as legendary as Kool Moe Dee. In this day and time and with this album that will never happen.
The Good: We Gonna Rock, For My Hustlaz are tracks that show off Sauce Money's skills. Chart Climbin was dope off of the 3 Strikes album and its dope here. Both tracks with Jigga(Face Off 2000 and Pre-Game are dope. Section 53 Row 78 is a touching tribute to his mother that passed on. Say Unkle is tight even though the hook is fishy. The album closes off with What We Do feat Memphis Bleek who does a decent job at complementing Sauce Money rhymes over a mellow track. The Suspect: Love & War, Middle Finger U, and Whats That F*** That are boring as hell. What's My Name is tight lyrically beat the beat is suspect. The Ugly: C My 1s featuring Bam-Bue is wack juice... period. That song is not the biggest offense though. Do You See feat Puffy is supremely wack. I know that Sauce Money wrote I'll Be Missing You for Puffy but that doesnt mean that he has to make a track with that hip hop killer. Intruder Alert sucks something awful too and that is the worst beat that DJ Premier has ever created hands down. The skits are a waste of time too. Conclusion: Sauce Money's Middle Finger U is a disappointing album from an MC that is capable of much better work. The beats are questionable and Sauce Money phones it in half the time. If you are interested in this album then get it at a cheap price at a pawn shop so you dont feel cheated when you find out how weak it is. Standouts: FOR MY HUSTLAZ, CHART CLIMBIN, WE GONNA ROCK, FACE OFF 2000, PRE-GAME, SECTION 53 ROW 78 and WHAT WE DO.

Very good album,

I heard this album for the first time 8 years after it came out, and it still sounds better than the majority of music that comes out today. Sauce is one of the illest rappers I've ever heard. If you like NY hiphop, this is a must buy. I love the beats on here too, definitely reminds me of Jay-Z a little.....
