I purchased this item for my 9th grader hoping that there would be some fun learning activities to reinforce what she has learned or will learn. There are no learning activities, mostly text. The Spanish flash cards held the most promise, but if you do not have international symbols loaded on your keyboard and apply the correct accent, the program does not proceed. The history and science portion is nothing but text. Well, she can read her own textbook. BORING. The program does not work well either. The interface is awkward, and does not work well. The program seems to have been written in DOS and just upgraded with basic button interface for the menus. Very poorly done. All-in-all a total waste of money. I will probably not ever purchase a Broderbund product again. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

I purchased this software for my two middle schoolers they are in 6th and 7th grade. I homeschool so I wanted a software with all subjects on it so they can learn in a fun way. This software is amazing my kids are using it as a supplement to review and it has games that are fun, quizzes, and it even teaches second language. It is a basic format so it is not hard for your kids to use or figure out. It has textbook style learning for certain subjects too. I am confident that my kids using this software to review will help them achieve success in learning.

I used this tool to help tutor my son, who is int he eight grade, his reading was weak and after using this software, he brought his reading grade up 2 letters from a C to an A.
