Fresh & exciting performances by this underated quartet, December 14, 1998

These are truly wonderous and exciting performances of the 5 middle Beethoven quartets. The recording quality defies it's age, the originals dating back to 1965. I had the good fortune of being the recording engineer for these five works which were all recorded within a relatively short span of time during that year. I am glad to see that these performances are being circulated once again for others to enjoy.
