I made the mistake of listening to this album for the first time while driving in my car, and it was nearly the death of me. The end of the first track made me laugh so hard I nearly ran off the road.

This album is fantastic, and by far Tripod's best work. If you're a geek, you MUST own it. It's not that non-geeks won't like this album too, but a lot of the jokes are slightly esoteric, so geeks will appreciate them more. All in all though, Middleborough Rd is a lot more accessible to American audiences in particular, since there aren't nearly as many regional Australian references in the songs than in, say, Tripod's Triple J 'Song-in-an-Hour' challenges, or a lot of their other work.

Middleborough Rd is a true musical gem. Not only are the lyrics hilarious and the songs extremely catchy, but the music is good too. In particular, Tripod hone their signature three-part harmony to absolute perfection in songs like 'Let's Take A Walk' and 'Gonna Make You Happy Tonight'.

In short, buy this album. You absolutely won't regret it.

When I heard tripod's music for the first time on Qantas, I couldn't wait to get home to buy the album. A cd filled with humor, catchy music, and inner geek pride. It's truly a great cd
