Author Melvia Miller is an educator who specializes in "cultural diversity" and related issues. Among many other subjects, she has taught Black History in schools and colleges. This unique novel delves into the lives of 20th Century descendants of slaves. At a time when a raging debate is occuring concerning Affirmative Action, Civil Rights and reparations, Melvia Miller has produced this splendid book which illuminates the actual lives of Black people living in the "typical American city."
