I found the Midland AVP4 Dual Desk Top charger to be very easy to use. Plug the transformer in, plug into charger, drop radios in, voila! They're charging. Takes about 3 hours to fully charge after initial overnight charge; very satisfactory performance.

Just because the battery works with most midway radios, the charger does not. The battery fits my radios just find, but the charger is for radios whose charging terminals are on the rear, not the bottom of the units.

This product works great out of the box and you can't even buy the rechargable batteries form a box store for less than this unite cost. Great Buy!!!

My company uses multiple two way radios amongst many employees through out the company, but not all the employees work in the same areas of the plant, which made it difficult to split up the radio sets with out having extra charging bases to disperse with the radio. Being able to purchase just the charger was a great benefit, so that each radio could be charged regularly by its owner.

If you have a use for this charger, Buy It! It is exactly as advertised, and much less expensive through Amazon than buying it direct from Midland.

This battery charger does not seem to indicate when batteries are charged. No directions came with the charger so I just leave the charger on overnight. So far, the batteries seem to be working. But who knows?

We used these to communicate between 4 cars while on a long drive on vacation. The batteries will run down after a couple of hours so you must have a car charger. The range is not quite as far as advertised but they work well if you keep the other vehicle in sight

We keep a set of Walkie Talkie charging to use as communication when playing computer games between rooms. This charges them and is compact enough that it doesn't take a lot of space.

I bought this product to replace the batteries in my radios for work. The extra cradle was a good bonus. The 12 volt car adapter wasnt a neccessity. Thats good considering it arrived broken. The cradle came in one peice and the batteries work great. They hold a damn good charge under heavy use. I have not contacted the seller about the 12 volt adapter, but I'm sure if I did, they would have made it right. Like I said, I just didnt need that. I was very surprised to receive my package 2 days before I expected. Quality product, and quality seller. I would definately buy from them again.

One of the batteries that came with my original handsets went bad after a couple of years, so I purchased this set to gain the extra batteries. But the extra bonus was that I now have a spare charging cradle that I can leave in my truck year-round. My family does a lot of outdoor activities (sporting events, hiking, camping, hunting, etc.), and having these radios, a spare battery, and a mobile charging point is awesome! We're never stuck in the woods with a dead radio now!
