This inexpensive camera delivers! I was amazed that something so cheap would be so good. The quality of night shots is not great but way better then I expected. I use this camera on my bicycle. I made my own handlebar mount but you could just as easily get a Gorilla tripod and just wrap it around the handlebars.

Great product for great price. Takes ok video, not great in low light. Easy to use and very small profile. Lots of mount choices. Fits perfect on my yak.

I purchased this through TigerDirect. I usually prefer Amazon.com but TD's price was $45 and it was available at a local TD store. I'm more than satisfied with the quality of this camera. I would be satisfied at twice the price actually. Here's the goods:

1. 480p capture is good overall if you're not wanting super quality and need a smaller file size. 720p is really good.
2. Easy to use and download from. MovieMaker picks it right up. I didn't need to download or install anything to use this camera. Make sure you read the instructions before attaching it to your PC to avoid frustration.
3. Battery life is really good. It seems it might last at least 3 hours and honestly who needs more than that? Not me!
4. Sound quality is awesome up to a point when helmet mounted. At 35mph and below you hear what you want but at 140mph I don't think a GoPro would give you any better quality. Putting tape on the mic hole seems to help out a bit though
5. I like it's size. Not too protruding on the side of a helmet and the mount is plenty sturdy and comes with a tether in case you get too rowdy.

The bad:
1. None really. It's hard to nitpick a $45 camera that does as well as this thing.
2. Not great in low light. In fact, I'd not use it unless it's somewhat sunny on 720p setting.
3. It's not waterproof so if you're a diver guess you're gonna spend more than me. Haha.

Even before doing a trial run the protective rubber cover for the usb/micro broke. All it took was a couple of easy openings and it popped. I called Midland customer support. Their runaround electronic system is not to be believed. Finally I got a real person who had nothing to do with support but transferred me anyway. I waited for 25 minutes and finally got through only to find out they do nothing. They carry no simple replacement parts. My instructions were to send it in for a complete replacement (my dime) or take it back to where I got it and replace it that way. Maybe a thread and needle will keep it from loss when it pops out in the future. Wooptie doo.
I tested the camera and for the money it performs well. Lots of fisheye, but I expect that. Grainy indoors. Outside shots were so so at a distance. Closeups were very clear, especially 2 feet and less, way less, down to a few inches. Color was not stellar but not bad. Sound was surprisingly good with decent sensitivity. Instructions were not Chinglish and were quite readable and get the job done.
Bottom line tho', if you need a part, forget it. Pay postage and send it in to be replaced, and wait.

Great "HD" action cam. Bought to use as helmet cam for my endure bike. Video quality is equal to the 720p GoPro. Complaints about the picture being grainy are only because of low light. Picture is perfect in daylight outside, even on a cloudy day. In low light, (like inside) it will be a little grainy, but I don't know u would use it inside anyway.

The product states it requires a SD card, not a Micro SD card so I wasted $20 right there buying a SD card. The video quality is horrible at night and I mean absolutely horrible. Daytime it has lines across the video and isn't that great. I wish I would have gone with a gopro instead, but I'm stuck with it. The mount for a bow is constantly coming loose, or gets in the way of your hand. Should be angled off center so you can stretch your hand out when you draw.
