5.0 out of 5 stars Very good for that price
There are not that many negative points about this radio. We took it on vacation to Dominican Republic so I could be in contact with my kids in the resort.
The negatives first: Belt holders are totally useless. They are not easily banded so you can not attach the unit to your belt. I also would like that there were a lanyard holes so my kids could carry in on wrist...

There are not that many negative points about this radio. We took it on vacation to Dominican Republic so I could be in contact with my kids in the resort.
The negatives first: Belt holders are totally useless. They are not easily banded so you can not attach the unit to your belt. I also would like that there were a lanyard holes so my kids could carry in on wrist on or the neck. We fount a solution by inserting lanyard under the belt holder. Another issue is that there is no battery indicator as well as charging indicator. So you do not know the charge level or remaining battery level.
In regards to the unit itself, it worked really well. We did stay about less then a mile apart of each other with a lot of low rise buildings and found no problem communicating with each other. This unit is significantly smaller then other more advanced units and it is a big plus if you want your kid to carry it.
I also wish that there would be more channels to select as we ran into the problem of other people being on the same channel as us.
But overall I really like this product and we will definitely use it on our next vacation.

I purchased these two-ways for me to keep in contact with my children as they play in our neighborhood.

Pros: light weight, small, not many buttons, rechargeable batteries

cons: voice clarity, range

These two-ways are what I was looking for in build. They are light weight and small enough for my 6 and 8 year old children to carry around and use. On that note they are great. On the other hand, range is poor and sound clarity is also poor. When my children are just about 300 feet away the sound is garbled and has static. I have to ask my children several times to repeat. Of course I am indoors when they call me and I have not tried it with me outside. I gave these a 4 star on build, but only a 3 for clarity/range. I think it is good enough for what we use it for, but if you are using them somewhere for safety reasons or work, I would invest more and get a better pair.
