Skillfully constructed with the finest components, the Midland LXT330 is built with all solid-state circuitry mounted on a rugged, printed circuit board to provide you with reliable and trouble-free performance for years to come.
The Midland LXT330 radio provides you with 22 GMRS/FRS (General Mobile Radio Service/Family Radio Service) UHF channels, and up to a 16-mile range in open territory. And while most GMRS channels require an FCC license to operate, channels eight through 14 are low-power FRS channels that are license free. These powerful radios have an easy-to-read LCD display that shows you channel and other relevant radio status information at a glance, and a large easy-to-use keypad on the front for one-touch access to important features.
The LXT330 radio is full of features such as a call alert to notify your intended receiver of incoming traffic, a channel scan to locate activity, and an auto squelch to filter out weak signals. This unit provides both High and Low power settings, so you can choose to maximize transmission distance or save power. The LXT330 also features keystroke tones, a roger beep that confirms transmission conclusion, and a silent operation for quieting beeps, tones and alerts when you can't afford to make extra noise.
Midland's LXT330 radio is constructed to be water resistant, so it can be used in most any environment, and has a keypad lock to avoid accidentally changing the radio settings. This radio runs on four AAA batteries, and includes a battery life extender function, as well as a low-battery indicator so you never get caught offguard without power. User's can also purchase an optional Midland 4.8-volt rechargeable NiMH battery pack that can be recharged while in the radio. The LXT330 comes with a speaker/microphone/headset/charging jack so you can use it with an external speaker or microphone, or a pair of headphones, and recharge your battery pack when not in use. The Midland LXT3330 radio pair pack comes with two radios, each with a belt clip for convenient carrying or hands-free use, that are backed by a manufacturer's three-year warranty.

Good Performance, (almost) best priced in Amazon.,

Great to work with, in-expensive and easy to operate. I thought I got it for the best price from Amazon. But I saw it at an Office Depot store priced lower.

The item was out of stock at the vendor even though the Amazon site indicated that it was "available". The note from the vendor did not even give an ETA.
