My after school department uses walkie talkies to communicate between the office and teachers. We have and use Midland XtraTalk GXT800 but needed to replace a couple. I ordered these and today was the first day we tried to use them. Sound quality is horrible and we are in the same building. I am returning these.

Bought these radios and just used them for a community service event where we were spread out over 20 acres. Worked like a charm!

I belong to a large model railroad club which has Operating Sessions once a month. We have been looking for a "hands free" 2 way radio with a head set for awhile. We experimented with other brands that just didn't meet our needs. These Midlands are perfect and do just what we expect of them. We are very happy with this product.

Great radios. Work very well and have great range. Owened many before and this one is in the top of the list.

You do not or I didnt get the mic headsets or Vehicle adapter, but I would not use them anyway, but be aware it does not always come with those options.

All in all a great radio for an even better price.

I bought these as a Christmas gift for my 3 and 4 year old kids. I didn't want to spend $30 on a pair of cheap Gi-Joe or Transformers walkie-talkies that are only good for 100 feet or so. Now when we go to the store, my son and I can take off and still keep in touch with Mom. These are also helpful when we visit art shows, international festivals, and pretty much any outside activity. These aren't quite powerful enough to reach Gramma's house(approx. 5 miles away) but I'm sure that has to do with the buildings and trees in the way.

These have great range, the batteries last a good long while, and they have a quality feel to them. The talk button is difficult for a 3 year-old to push, but that's a small quibble seeing how this set isn't exactly geared toward toddlers.

Bought these units to maintain contact with my skiing partner. They work great and are lightweight. Recommend for use at the resort!!

My grandaughter and I use them every day. She has gone 3 blocks away and the sound is still great. I love them.

We got these walkie talkies to use in our home - one upstairs one down - to keep in communication. For the most part they work very well. We are a few miles from the interstate and sometimes get interference from travelers, but not too often. Changing the channel usually corrects this. We have a new puppy and this is a great way to keep tabs on him from different parts of the house. We can call each other to make sure the puppy isn't into any mischief. I would recommend this product.

First, I realize this item is now discontinued by Midland, however, if you get a chance to acquire a set of these radios at a good price, get them!

I purchased a very high end set made by Motorola three weeks ago, and one of the radio's speaker system died by the third day. I was very disappointed in the quality because I was told that Motorola was the "very best".

While recently at Dick's Sporting Goods, I saw the Midland LXT 360 for $24.98 and purchased them. I mainly needed the radios for my two sons who cruise the neighborhood with friends, and play at the soccer field about a 1/2 mile away. They work flawlessly. I will definitely purchase more Midlands in the future when the need arises.

Works great inside my house which is quite large--an old 14-room farmhouse. Comforting to know if we
're at opposite ends of the house or if there's an emergency. Not much of a range as promised. We live in a hilly area, so line of sight is problematic. Good for what it does as we need to use the citizen setting. Can't find out the cost of getting the wider range permit
