This is the best Irish whiskey I've tasted and possibly the best alcohol I've ever had! I had a tasting one night where we tried Pappy Van Winkle 20 year, Midleton Very Rare and some 18 year Speyside Scotch's. The Pappy by itself is amazing. Notes of butterscotch and caramel are evident and its so smooth you get very little bite from the alcohol. By itself, it is America's best bourbon in my opinion. Next we went to the Scotch and then finally the Midleton. Everyone was unanimous that the Midleton's was the best liquor of the night. Incredibly smooth, full of character it trumped everything we were drinking. In short, the Midleton will wreck you for all other Irish whiskey. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to experience a glass of nirvana.

I'm a Scotch drinker, and accidently ordered Midleton at an Irish Pub in San Mateo, CA. It was amazing, a creamy second taste I never experienced in whiskey before. The bill killed me, though. At $25 a shot (x3) it was spendie for my wallet.

I was introduced to this fine product by a friend of mine, who conveyed a story of how he was introduced to the product. I relate this story because it seems particularly credible after you try the stuff.

He described being in his office in Honolulu when a business associate of his stopped by and asked if he liked whiskey. He replied that he did not care for it, as it's taste is harsh and unpalatable to him. His associate insisted that he should try some of this product. After retrieving the bottle from his vehicle outside, this friend of mine and the associate proceeded to empty the bottle in the span of a couple hours. At 10 in the morning.

This product is a rare find, and has done for my appreciation of whiskey what Don Julio 1942 did for my appreciation of tequila. I now look at Crown Royal like battery acid, compared to this stuff. Downside is that it's a little difficult to get a hold of, and tends to be pricey when you do find it ($150/bottle). Totally worth it.
