Dory Previn's Bizarre Young Life
Dory Previn has always been a favorite of mine. Her songs seem to be written by someone who is just a bit ahead of the way the rest of us think, and so...there are many "aha" moments when listening to her. Wow, It was Just Incomprehensible
I gave up on this because most of it seemed to be isolated, dreamlike memories of a child and it told me nothing really and didn't seem to be going anyplace.

Dory Previn has always been a favorite of mine. Her songs seem to be written by someone who is just a bit ahead of the way the rest of us think, and so...there are many "aha" moments when listening to her.
I was lucky enough to get to see her in concert, and her personality on stage, was completely charming, and she drew you in with her, in every moment, (just get a copy of her Live Album from Carnegie Hall). This book of her life is heartbreaking, and fascinating, and sheds a little light on how she came to be the wonderful song writer she became. I have always loved Dory Previn.
