5.0 out of 5 stars This is his best yet..., August 12, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Midnight Blue (Audio CD)
I bought his other two CDs, but this one is his best yet. The harp playing is nothing short of spectacular...this guy is easily one of the best blues harp players alive...it's like he's channeling Sonny Boy Williamson. That last strange remix-style cut, "67 Cadillac" is great, too...kind of a humorous send-up of the Fat Possum R.L. Burnside stuff but with better real blues guitar playing and a real LA gangster groove on it. Highly recommended...if you're a harp player, get this CD immediately.
