Book Description

Reviews:

"A fascinating if scary premise. It put me in mind of Michael Crichton's novels. [The] clean writing style isn't dissimilar either. A most enjoyable read..." ~ The Independent Review

"This is very good commercial thriller writing. Easy to read and genuinely grabs the reader's interest and doesn't let go..." ~ The Feedback Forum

Description:

Discovery has its consequences.

June Rise and Tim Scott believe they've discovered a new cause for global warming. But when they travel to Mexico to confirm their theories, events take a demented turn - and fast. Tim vanishes, and soon June is on the run, framed for murder and the target of a deadly conspiracy. With her life on the line and catastrophic events looming, she is forced to take drastic measures in an attempt to reveal the discovery to the world. But will she succeed? Or will the discovery remain hidden forever - claiming June as a victim in the process?

From Seattle to Mexico, D.C. to Georgia, D.S. Land's debut thriller is a fast-paced, action packed ride that challenges perceptions of global warming and explores the never-ending depths of greed.

The story used up-to-date technology and social situations. It challenges the reader to ponder "what if..." I found the story quite compelling.

4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining! September 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Midnight Blue Over Mexico is a very entertaining book with great suspense. A page-turner that would be a great book to read on the beach. The pace is fast, so you never want to put the book down. There were a couple continuity items related to events in the book that I believe have been fixed in future versions, so make sure you download the most recent one. I agree with one of the other reviewers: MBOM should be the beginning of a series involving June in different "here we go again" scenarios.

Nothing to come back for. The plot line was good but I like mystery novels to move and intrigue me.

The main premise didn't get past my "suspension of disbelief" filter. It seemed to be leaning towards a very exciting nail-biter action story, but it strayed into serious... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Very sophomoric and poorly written.
A very uninteresting book, and he must have done no research on his topics since they were, for the most part, erroneous. I was disappointed.

Slow start and picks up speed and interest. The mystery and intrigue is kept alive by not knowing whom to trust.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dull as ditchwater
Gave up after a couple of chapters, couldn,t give a damn what happened to anybody. A complete waste of time, in fact, this nasty, rather petty review is more interesting, to me.
