A solid blues CD, August 19, 2005

This is a solid CD of old blues songs, but not a special one. There are 10 songs, 2 each by 5 different artists. Dave Specter's songs are the strongest in my opinion, "That's How Strong My Love Is" and "I'm on the Outside (Looking In)". Luther Allison does good renditions of two classics, "Dust My Broom" and "The Sky is Crying". The opening song by Junior Wells, "Snatch it Back and Hold it" is a good song. The Little Walter offerings were ok, nothing spectacular and neither Louis Myers song did anything for me. This CD won't set your world on fire but you won't be sorry you listened either.
