5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning Album, March 30, 2011
This review is from: Midnight of the Century (Audio CD)
I've leached enough reviews from Amazon & finally decided to leave my own. I can't believe there are no reviews for this incredible album. If you are a fan of Peter Murphy, Sisters of Mercy, Mission UK or The Cult, you will absolutely love this album, guaranteed. If you aren't familiar with any of these bands, you'll still find it brilliant, but may not catch some of the aforementioned overtones. The guitar, bass & production work on this album from start to finish are impeccible & every song has enough diversity to keep you interested. I have a 6-disc changer in my car & with the exception of loading into my itunes, this disc is always in my car. If you get a little deeper than the catchy guitar work, you'll realize that the lyrics add their own complexity being both dark & poetic. I'm constantly checking the net, hoping they'll release a follow up & make me just as excited as when I heard this album for the first time. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. Cheers!

5.0 out of 5 stars Modern rock done 80s style, October 2, 2009
I discovered this band through a fairly famous indie record store in NYC, and have been hooked the last few months on this album! It's like they managed to take all of the fun and energy from the 1980s "new wave" era and packaged it up into a more modern form. The vocals sound stylized, very trebly, but the hooks on the songs are infectious to say the least. Flight Of The Demoiselles in particular really lifts you up, a great ride of a song that I can't completely understand through the lyrics, but know that it is inspiring. I think anybody who was into The Smiths, New Order, Depeche Mode, Flock of Seagulls, etc, would really dig these guys, so check 'em out!
