I was gifted this book from the author for an honest review. The author has pictures within the book to coincide with certain scenes of the book along with a glossary to clear up anything that might not make sense to you.
In the year 2125, vampires rule the earth. Aura & Mark go out during the day when it is the safest and eliminate the caves that they dwell in. Running low on food and ammo, they go see Carla who along with 2 other scientists can give them the supplies that they need. Aura is sick and Simpson can give her something to make her feel better. As they are returning back to their home base, they are attacked by a hoard of vampires and Aura is taken. Mark contacts the scientists to help him get her back but with much resistance from the vampires. Can Mark save Aura in time to keep her from being turned? What secrets will Mark and Aura find out about who Aura really is?
I personally couldn't get into the book, but just because it wasn't for me I say give the book a chance.

This had an interesting storyline with some creepy, heart pounding moments, but parts of the action just seemed boring and forced. And the editing issues were really frustrating.

When she got sick, and the vampire who looked familiar to her began following her, it was pretty obvious where this was all headed, especially once Mark realized everyone was keeping secrets from him. The conclusion was, in some ways, a surprise, but the characters weren't really created fully so, at times, I just didn't care what was happening to them.

I don't understand why the three novellas weren't written as just one novel. Especially with the way they each end - the only reason we know the novella has ended, instead of just moving to another chapter, is because of the discussion questions at the end of each one.

That is one of the things I liked - the discussion questions. BUT discussion questions show that this is written for a younger crowd, which makes me question WHY there is a sex scene (though glazed over) in the first novella.

This is the third series that I have read of Ami's in the last few weeks. My favorite was Dumah's Demons (the short story in between book 1 and 2 in her Angelfire Chronicles series). My least favorite was the Zombie Housewives series. This series falls in between those two, but I think editing and better writing could have made it a lot better than what it is.

Note: I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

It is 2125. Vampires have taken over the world. Most humans live between 6 am and 6 pm. Those that don't are eaten. Mark and Aura are two people that are trying to survive but also kill as many vampires that they can. They have been together for a couple years and have become a good team. But there is something about Aura. She can sense the vampires, knows different tricks to keep them safe, and although she is petite, she packs one heck of a kick.

There are also a couple humans in the Underground that are working to defeat the vampires. Aura discovered them and visits them regularly. She tends to get sick and they provide the medicine she needs. They also have a vampire repellant that Aura and Mark use every night to keep the vampires from breaching the doors and windows of their home.

One night while Mark and Aura are out, they come across a vampire that has been hunting Aura for several years. Although they escape, they keep running into him. At one point several vampires attack them and Aura is taken. Now it is up to Mark to save her.

I really liked this book. It is actually a collection of the first three novellas in the series. I loved the concept. Here are these two people that are trying to survive and kill the vampires any way that they can.

I will admit that there are a couple things that kind of bothered me. Mark is rather whiney. When Aura is kidnapped he started acting like an emo brat. I do like a guy in the story really loving a woman and willing to fight for her. But I'm more into the strong guys, not the ones that become obsessed stalker types.

Having said that, I really did enjoy the stories. I will be getting the next books as soon as they come out. This is a story that I think most paranormal romance readers will like.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Aura and Mark are busy blowing up all the caverns that they can find to try and rid the world of the evil vampires. They are gradually taking over, and making it difficult for all humans to survive.

Aura and Mark met a couple years ago and have become a good team. The young vampires are easier to kill, however they become concerned when they come across and older vampire that seems to be playing with them. Six pm to six am are the dreadful hours to keep your guard up. Aura starts to get sick, so they decide to go to the underground for help and supplies.

This vampire dystopia series is quite the read. I loved the uniqueness of the vampires. I won't reveal any more information regarding that issue because it would be a spoiler! However, I found it very refreshing to read the creative imagination for the vampire lore. The struggle for the human race was profound, and I could picture in my mind the destruction the vampires left behind.
