4.0 out of 5 stars The Nicest Villains You'll Ever Meet November 4, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
To be more accurate, Gibby and Moss aren't really the villains of this little novella. They're just kind of misguided. The villains are whoever murdered the man Gibby and Moss discover practically on their doorstep. And, horror of horrors, its the man who played Santa at the soup kitchen, and Christmas is fast approaching.

This story takes place before Allan Ansorge's book "Crossing the Centerline," and serves as an introduction to some of the many zany citizens of that fictitious town. Then "Crossing the Stateline" continues their saga.

Oh, and if you want to find out whodunnit in "A Midnight Clear," you'll have to read "Crossing the Centerline." Sneaky, Allan.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Heartwarming Christmas Story October 26, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It was great to have the Bay Harbour gang back! And Moss and Gibby are two of my favorite characters - both colorful and funny. Write faster, Allan Ansorge. We want more. Five stars for the perfect blend of crime, cozy, and Christmas.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disaapointing March 5, 2013

No character development. Hard to even know what the plot was. Story goes no place. Difficult to keep my mind on the book.
