This is my favorite Christmas CD of all time (and I have way too many!). Put the kids to bed, put on this CD and trim the tree in the dark with only tiny white lights twinkling. The music is powerful enough that that sense of calm can be recreated during the madness of Christmas by playing the CD any time during the Christmas rush.

Mike Marshall is incredibly talented and Midnight Clear showcases some wonderful musicianship. I bought a dozen copies of this last year as gifts...

Recorded at the behest of (hammered dulcimerist)Tony Elman, this disc quickly has become one of my favorite Christmas recordings. From the opening track when Marshall comes out of the rain and into the studio, this gem displays Mike's customarily stellar guitar expertise as he utilizes these classics to share the joy of cool, wet December evenings by the San Francisco Bay.
