The original version was an awesome game, but this one takes the cake. The few upgrades that are in this version make it well worth 20 bucks. There is more than 20 new cars, a new city, and more songs added to the radio. Even if you already own the original version this is still a must buy and if you dont have the original and you are a fan of driving games then this is STILL a must buy. The best thing about this new version is that you dont have to restart your old saved game file. If I could rate this game 1 to 5 I would give it a 20. This game is hours of fun for any racing game fan. Sure this game isnt very realistic, but that element makes it more fun. For anyone that owns a PS2 this is a must have game.

I love the remix edition to Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition! It has more choices, which means more fun! Here are more reasons why I like this game.

You have much more cars in this game. 89 of them. You have lots of car groups which include SUV's & Trucks, Exotics, Import Tuners, Luxury Sedans, Classics & Muscles, Choppers, and Sport Bikes. You have new cars like Hummer-H3, Dodge- Magnum RT, Pagani-Zonda, and much more!

You can customize your car, your way with lots of customization choices to choose from like the Detail Shop, Body Shop, Performance Shop, and Colcor Shop!

You have 4 open cities which include San Diego, Atlanta, Detroit, and the 4 new city , Tokyo. These cities have open streets. You can go almost anywhere in these cities!

Games like Gran Turismo 4 and L.A. Rush aren't as good as this one! I highly recomend this game!

I never in my life thought I'd ever upgrade from the original Nintendo system my dad always had, or play anything other than Original Mario Bros. But my boyfriend brought over his PS2 and this game back in September and now, 5 months later, I am still in love with Midnight Racer.

The only worthwhile way to play is in the Career mode, and once you get through the first race in San Diego, everything is very straight foward. I love how easy it is to customize your car. I know little to nothing about the engine works of a car, so the "auto upgrade" that gets you the best engine for your money all in one go is great for those less interested in the technical/mechanical aspects. The way that different customizations are locked gives me a reason to keep playing. Aside from that (and this is the most important part), I love all the cars! I love how I can make my entire collection of cars customized to a theme. I've completed 85% of my career, and have access to every kind of car. From my first muscle car to my latest exotic beauty... they all are pictures of perfection- pink, purple, and fuschia perfection. It drives my boyfriend nuts but then again, if I had met his taste in customized cars before I met him, I never would've picked us for a match.

I also appreciate that every car (and there are a lot!) drives a little differently. You can really perfect your own technique and style of racing, to truely make the game your own. My little sister, my boyfriend and I all drive differently so even watching someone else play this game is fun.

My only complaint is that the load time between cruising for a race and starting a race (or going from cruise mode to the garage, or the garage to cruise mode) takes FOREVER. And when I say forever I mean somwhere around 45-50 seconds. But I only really notice that when I'm playing solo, with another person to pass the time with it's not so bad.

All in all, this is the best racing game I have ever played. I've tried playing Need For Speed (several of them) as well as Turismo and Burnout... but those have so many things to remember and keep track of that I always find myself coming back to Midnight Club.

The first time I played this game in career mode, I got a little confused. It told me to "purchase a vehicle," but I wondered how the heck I had any money to buy one. When I got to the garage and figured it out, I bought the Mitsubishi Eclipse which did me well until Vannesa challenged me a second time. The only dissapointing thing is that so many many races have to be done tons of times to finish your career. I liked everything else about it though.

i got this game used for 15 bucks. i played it and got addicted. after a week i was noticing sameness in the races. the cars on the road are always in the way, almost to a point where it is unrealistic.

Mechanics are idiots. they say stuff like, "YOU DRIFT LIKE A GIRL!!!"
TOO MUCH TRAFFIC!!
easy to crash. way to much debris


this game is better than nfs. customization is so much easier and race rewards are so much better.
overall, get this game if you like racing or customizing cars.

P.S. This game gets VERY FRUSTERATING!so just do restart race.

The original MNCDE was great, but with the few editions, it is even better! Newer cars (20 if I recall) mean even more driving possibilities. A new location provides a great place to get away from the regular 3 cities. I'd recommend this game more than the original, to be truthful. Much more options of driving possibilities and an expanded playlist.

Must-have for fans of the Midnight Club series and a great buy for any racing fan.

There isn't much realism in this game as the Gran Turismo games but that really add to the element of imagination and recreation. Endless ways to win races and all you need is to figure them out, whether using shortcuts or hidden passageways.

Great game overall. And a very good buy.

This game is pretty good. It has a lot of variety to the choice of cars that you can choose. In one of the other reviews that I've read on this site says that there are no Ferrari's. But actually there is but it is called Gemballa which I believe is a styling company for exotic cars. But the game is awesome with the endless possibilities of customization that you can do to your tuner, truck, luxury sedan(mercedes, chrysler), sport bike, or chopper. The levels are pretty hard to get used to but once you get the hang of it you can pretty much remember it. The problem is that the computers know all the shortcuts, have better cars, and rarely mess up. And it takes forever to accomplish anything. But if you are pretty good at racing games you might do pretty good.

This is a great game in every respect. Reviews are knocking on it for "adding" so little. They fail to see what this actually is.
It's a Greatest Hits release of the game, with some stuff added in, for the heck of it.
It's NOT intended for a repurchase for those who own the original.

You know how other titles get the red Greatest Hits banner? This got it, and Rockstar decided to add some punch.
I don't understand how that justifies a low score for actually adding to the game.

ok my brother brought me this game and I love it to death I love the sports bikes and chopers. they are about 100 cars in the game. now the muisc was the best I love the soul vibrates. the races are easy. when you play the game it breathes I mean the city cars try to dodge its so cool I Would never sell this game

this game is the best you can get. you can race through 4 city's. I have never had a game this good.
