A long awaited C.D. from "the Aces"....and a great one in my opinion. I have been a fan since 1974's realease Stacked Deck and have been hooked ever since. This album will sure to please any fan, Russell is outstanding as usual and the new band line up have nailed it home. Tasty slide and dobro from Wayne Bridge is excellent. Some of the ususal quirky co-writing on the songs, with Delbert McClinton and Bobby Carmichael, makes what was old, "new" again.

one of their best, January 29, 2009

Their most recent effort and one of their best. Again Russell's songwriting is first class with the usual humour and diversity. This band's ongoing problem with mainstream acceptance is its different styles over a single album but for me and many others this is their strength. The usual mix of strong ballads and first class rockers - Let It Burn is one of Russell's best. Highly recommended
