Each book just gets better!,

Well, Kayla has done it again!! Every time she writes another novel, I find it hard to really decide which of her books is my favorite. She's definitely an author I put on my "must read" list. MIDNIGHT DREAMS is a dream of a story. Jade Alexander may be Kayla's strongest heroine yet. Screwed over by a slimeball ex-husband, Jade works hard to come out on top yet again. And when she attends a New Year's Eve party--just like Cinderella, Jade finds her Prince Charming. Yummy Terrell Edmonds is the man Jade should've married to begin with, and like magic, he appears in the crowd of party goers just in time to share the stroke of Midnight with Jade. But unlike Cinderella, Jade isn't a wimp who sits back and waits for the guy to bring her a shoe! Huh, uh. This lady knows what she wants, and she's strong enough to go after the true love she deserves to share with Terrell. This book is a "must read" and will go on your keeper shelf--guaranteed!

I liked this book although I thought that Terrell gave Jade too many chances. She was a total idiot in this book. She was kind of giving him mixed signals and he just couldn't let her go...I still liked the concept though.

Terrell Edmonds was a gorgeous "rainbow after the rain",

In Kayla Perrin's novel, Midnight Dreams, heroine Jade Alexander made the ultimate mistake, she married one man, when she actually possessed strong feelings for another. Terrell Edmonds was an attractive professional photographer with enormous patience, expecially where Jade was concerned. Terrell had been rejected by Jade and remained unattached for six years, until a New Year's Gala, when he saw, and recognized the now divorced and dejected Jade, whom he immediately wanted to reconcile his feelings with. At times, I felt that Terrell's character was fictional in every sense of the word. He was so understanding, so tolerant, so patient, so clearly in love with Jade. I found a woman Jade's age impossible to comprehend. She punished both Terrell and herself, using the excuse that she had been swindled by and left penniless by her ex-husband, Nelson. I was releived by the end of the novel, that Jade finally was able to see the "gorgeous rainbow" that Terrell symbolized and enjoy all the love that he offered to her.

I'm a fan of Ms. Perrin but this was not one of my favorites. The story line was nice but the main character, Jade was too immature. I expected more but ended up disappointed. Not a horrible read but a little over priced for what the book contained.

True Dreams,
This review is from: Midnight Dreams (Mass Market Paperback)
Platinum Reviewers 4.5Kayla Perrin writes an interesting story of how two people who are truly in love can withstand the test of time and the test of self-restraint. Jade Alexander was the type of person who believed in faith and dreams. Jade had once own a hair salon but when her husband decided to start dibbing and dabbling into her salon funds she finds herself in a lot of debt because of the fact that he had a gambling habit that was getting out of hand. Terrell Edmonds had love for a woman who decided to marry another man but he always loved her but when Terrell is giving a chance to win her back. Terrell waited six years and he is willing to wait even longer to gain her love. When things get really tough the two begin going through stuff that has been unseen in their trails and tribulation the couple begins to realize their love for each other and are taking chances to really begin their relationship to another level. Kayla Perrin is an excellent author who really shows her talent as she writes about the two lovers reunites.

Accolades to Kayla Perrin for this story about Jade and Terrell. You know sometimes people come into our lives for certain reasons that often can not be explained. The same goes for we often marry people we really know deep down inside we have no business marrying but we go ahead and marry the person anyway, to find out later it was the biggest mistake of your life. In this case, that is exactly what happens but you know readers sometimes that divine force really does work things out for the best. In this case, he brought these two back together, Jade and Terrell, and from there I won't tell the story, but they travel down the road together, sometimes rough and sometimes smooth, but as the saying goes," love does conquer all," and this book illustrates just that! To my fellow readers, I think you will enjoy this novel done so well by Ms Kayla Perrin.
