A Fun Read, December 8, 2000
This one started off with a bang! Modern day Elizabeth wants to release the wild woman inside her, but doesn't have the courage. Her job is catering to other people's fantasies, though, something she does well because she understands. When researching a fantasy for some clients, she stumbles across an abandoned saloon in Galveston. Soon she notices a dress and a garter in one of the rooms. After slipping them on, she is transported back over a hundred years, into the identity of Sinful Sinclair, a woman every man wants. A woman reputed to have slept with over a thousand men. Almost immediately she finds herself on the lap of a cowboy direct from her fantasies, Colt. He hires her for three weeks of unabashed sex, to teach everything she's ever learned on the subject. He just doesn't tell her that the lessons are for his younger brother, not him. Colt tries to resist Elizabeth/Sinful and leave her with his young sibling. But Elizabeth has decided Colt is the man with whom she can unleash all her fantasies and sets about seducing him. After a lot of ploys and fun, he finally gives in. But Elizabeth wonders if she as herself, not Sinful, is enough woman to make a wanderer like Colt want to settle down. Although the second half of the book drags in parts, I really recommend this for a light, uncomplicated read. It's cute, has a touch of witchcraft and is sexy stuff.

A TIme-travel Romantic Comedy, October 29, 2000
This time-travel romance was a good read. It is about a woman from modern day who is whisked back 100 years when she puts on a garter belt she finds. She suddenly is the stripper to whom the garter belt belonged to and when she gets to the past, she ends up in the lap of the cowboy of her dreams. He hires her to teach his younger brother the ways of "making love" but finds himself lusting after her himself. It is a romantic comedy with stereotyped and bumbling characters. At times the story did "bog down", but for the most part I read each page with anticipation of what was going to happen next. I loved the two main characters and the sizzling sexual tension between them. She wanted him right off but he resisted her. Her trying to lure him to her bed was funny as he resisted. Finally they got together and the ... is hot! The secondary plots were dealt with in a highly comedic way. All total, there were four romances going on and I think this is what bogged the book down. Too much going on as you had to keep track of everything. I also felt the heroine did not deal with her feelings for leaving the present to the past effectively. Overall though, it was a good book.

My first Kimberly Raye book - how hilarious it was!, April 18, 2005
I really got a big kick out of this book. The characters were so easy to love. I thought her refering to the bad guys (until she learns their names at the end of the book) was darling - Slim, Medium, & Brawny. I liked how she was a woman who went after what she wanted, she didn't just sit back & wait for him to come to her. Being mistaken for Sinful Sinclair definitely had its advantages! I was kind of surprised, though, that at the end of the book, Sinful's sister just basically threw her hands up in the air & said, oh well! Guess my sister is stuck somewhere else. At least it appears she is happy. I loved the relationship between the main characters. They were perfect for each other, even if she wasn't so sure for most of the book (typical heroine).
