"Midnight Fire" is one of Linda Ladd's best books! While seeking out adventure, Carly experiences a coming-of-age. Mrs. Ladd does not sugar-coat war; the devastating experience helps to change Carly from a carefree, irresponsible girl into a world-wise woman. The heartbreaking events in the book add realness to this passionate love story. I recommend this book highly, especially to those romance readers who are looking for a little more depth. [This is book 2 in the "Fire" trilogy.]

This is a great book! The characters are well developed and there is plenty of hot steamy sex, flirty banter between heroine and hero and alot of sadness, I don't want to spoil anything but it's a great second installment to Frost Fire which I LOVED!
