This book has magnificent artwork. I fisrt landed on Pacovska's "One, Five, Many" book and felt her artistic work draw all my visual senses to the peak. She uses bold, striking colors and unconvetional composition. Her application of stylized linework, paint, and collage are fused in provokingly beautiful illustrations in the Minghtnight Play. As I love her art, I must say, the book is not designed accessible for children - an adult needs to handle this book. The story plot is creative as she uses the players clothing to create a permutation of characters and thus, a recreation of each character's name. Though the story plot can be confusing at first, but to an artistic child, this book will add a keen sensorial dimension that is essencial to the development of a creative mind.

came across it while trotting through a local bookstore. i was looking for a novel, or an art book to be honest. i have not the smallest interest in children books.
but this is not a book for children, just like the nightmare before christmas is not a movie for children. they both are pieces of art for people who are funny-in-the-head-ish.
